Vladimir Vysotsky is a Russian theater and film actor, poet and singer of his own songs and prose writer. There are many legends and rumors about the life and death of Vladimir Vysotsky. There is a widespread version that the world famous actor and singer abused alcohol and drugs, and it was these addictions that ultimately influenced his early death. There are people among Vysotsky’s contemporaries who claim that Vladimir was ill a lot in the last years of his life and problems with the cardiovascular system became the cause of death. Indeed, in his life this outstanding person has experienced two clinical deaths, which in itself could not positively affect his health. Vladimir Semenovich died on July 25, 1980. At the initiative of relatives, an autopsy was not performed, close friends claim that on the eve of Vysotsky did not feel too well.
Funeral preparations
In his poems and songs, Vladimir Semenovich never hesitated to speak on “forbidden” topics and fully express his own opinion, for which, of course, representatives of the highest state authorities did not like him. When the great singer passed away, the question became urgent: “In which cemetery will Vysotsky’s grave be located?” Vladimir’s friends went to Vagankovskoye - this necropolis at that time was considered one of the most prestigious and it was located very close to the house of the deceased. The place where Vysotsky is buried is located very close to the entrance to the territory of the necropolis. But even with the choice of the site for digging the grave, too many rumors and eyewitness accounts are associated. The most popular version is that an official order was given from above to bury Vysotsky at the
Vagankovsky cemetery, but in a completely unpopular place on the outskirts. Of course, such a proposal did not suit either the relatives of the deceased, or his fans. And then Joseph Kobzon personally went to negotiations with the director of the cemetery, they say he even wanted to give a bribe for the opportunity to choose a more worthy place, but this was not required.
Farewell to the great actor, poet and singer
Vladimir Semenovich died during the Olympics-80 in the Russian capital. In preparation for this event, many people who were objectionable and “unworthy,” according to the party, were completely expelled from the city, and the rest were closely watched. Security and order were provided at the highest level, and suddenly a similar incident. Until the very last moment, the media did not report the fact of death, about which cemetery Vysotsky will be buried in and when the official farewell will take place. Only a few newspapers of the USSR decided to publish short obituaries. In the Taganka Theater, where Vladimir worked, a small tablet appeared briefly on the box office window briefly describing the death of the great actor. And so, on July 28, 1980, the day when Vysotsky’s grave was supposed to appear on Vagankovsky without any noise, absolutely all the inhabitants of Moscow reacted to this event. In the morning, a crowd took to the streets of the capital in order to say goodbye to the
great actor and singer-songwriter. Many people carried fresh flowers and portraits of Vladimir. There were a lot of people in the cemetery itself, eyewitnesses say that many even climbed the fence in order to better see what is happening with their own eyes.
The place where Vysotsky is buried
In 1985, a monument was erected on the grave of Vladimir Semenovich. This is a sculptural composition depicting the actor himself and the poet with his hands and guitar tied. The sculptor Alexander Rukavishnikov worked on the monument. The message that Vysotsky was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery, after parting with the artist, somehow spontaneously flew around our country. From that time until now, fresh flowers lie on Vladimir’s grave at any time of the year, and many admirers of his talent come here from all over our vast country.
