The Magic of the Akashic Chronicles
In Theosophy and Anthroposophy, these Chronicles are a collection of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions and intentions that have ever happened in the past, present or future. Proponents of these teachings believe that ideas should be encoded in the nonphysical plane of existence, known as the etheric plane. Unfortunately, there is no scientific evidence for the existence of akashic records.
Etymology and Origin
Akasha (ākāśa आकाश) - in Sanskrit, the word means "ether" or "atmosphere" to denote the fundamental principle of everything.
The story of the Akashic Chronicles is amazing. The term “akasha” was introduced into the language of theosophy of E. P. Blavatsky, which characterized it as a kind of life force. She also referred to “indestructible particles of astral light”, fixing both the past and the future of human thought and action, but she did not use the term “akashic”.
The concept of akashic writing was further disseminated by Alfred Percy Sinnett in his book Esoteric Buddhism, when he quotes The Buddhist Catechism by Henry Steel Alcott. According to Alcott, the Buddha taught that two things are eternal, namely: Akasha and Nirvana. Everything came out of Akasha in accordance with the laws of motion inherent in her, and leaves the same way. Nothing ever comes out of nothing.
Alcott further explains that "early Buddhism clearly adhered to the constancy of the records in the Akash and the potential ability of a person to read the same when he evolved to the stage of true individual enlightenment."
Clairvoyance
With the help of clairvoyance W. W. Leadbeater (1899), the term was completely associated with the idea, and he identified the akashic records by name, as what the clairvoyant could read.
In his 1913 Man: How, Where, and Where ?, Leadbeater claims to describe the history of Atlantis and other civilizations, as well as the future society of the Earth in the 28th century.

Akasha in Hinduism

Akasha (Sanskrit ākāśa आकाश) is a term for both space and traditional Indian cosmology, depending on religion. This term was also adopted in Western occultism and spiritualism at the end of the 19th century. In Hindustan, Nepal, Bengal, Marati, Telugu, Tamil, this means "heaven." In many modern Indo-Aryan and Dravidian languages, the corresponding word retains a common meaning - “heaven”.
The word in Sanskrit comes from the root kāś, meaning "to be visible." He appears as a masculine noun in Vedic Sanskrit with the general meaning of “open space, void”. In classical Sanskrit, a noun takes on a middle gender and can express the concept of “sky, atmosphere” (Manusmrti, Shatapathabrahmana). In Vedanta philosophy, the word takes on its technical meaning of “ethereal fluid imagined as permeating the cosmos.”
In Vedantic Hinduism, Akasha means the basis and essence of all things in the material world; The first item created. The Vedic mantra "pṛthivyāpastejovāyurākāśāt" indicates the sequence of the initial appearance of the five basic gross elements.
So, at first space (ether) appeared, from which air appeared from that fire or energy, from which - water, and from there - the earth. This is one of Panchamahabhut, or “the five gross elements”; its main characteristic is Shabda (sound). A direct translation of Akasha is a word meaning “upper heaven” or “space” in Hinduism.
In the schools of Hindu philosophy Nyaya and Vaisheshiki, it is stated that Akasha, or ether, is the fifth physical substance, which is a substrate of sound quality. This is a single, eternal and all-pervasive physical substance that is invisible.
According to the teachings of the Samkhi school, Akasha is one of the five Mahabhuts (great physical elements) that have a special property of sound.
Proponents of unorthodox philosophy Karwaki or Lokayata believed that this world consists of only four elements. They exclude the fifth, Akasha, because its existence cannot be perceived.
Akasha is space in the Jain concept of the cosmos. Akasha is one of six drava (substances) and contains five others, namely: sentient beings or souls (jiva), insensitive matter or matter (pudgala), principle of movement (dharma), principle of rest (adharma) and time (kāla).
She falls into the category of “agiva”, divided into two parts: Lokasha (the part occupied by the material world) and Alokasha (the space behind it is absolutely empty). In Lokash, the Universe forms only a part. Akasha is what gives space and creates space for the existence of all common substances.
In Buddhist phenomenology, Akasha is divided into limited space (akasha-dhatu) and infinite space (ajatakasa).
Vaibhashika, an early school of Buddhist philosophy, considers the existence of this phenomenon to be very real. It is worth noting that criticism of the Akashic Chronicles comes down mainly to the pseudoscience and unprovability of this concept.
It is identified as the first arupa of jhana, but is usually translated as “infinite space”.

Ether
In Timaeus, speaking of air, Plato mentions that "there is the most translucent element, which is called the name of the ether (αίθηρ)." But otherwise, he adopted the classical four-element system.
Aristotle, who was a student of Plato at the academy, agreed with his former mentor, stressing additionally that the fire was sometimes mistaken for ether. However, in his book On Heaven, he introduced a new “first” element into the system of classical elements of Ionian philosophy. He noted that four ground-based classical elements can be changed and, of course, move linearly.
However, the first element, located in the celestial regions and celestial bodies, moved in a circular manner and did not possess any qualities inherent in the ground-based classical elements. He was neither hot, nor cold, nor wet, nor dry. With this addition, the system of elements was expanded to five, and later commentators began to refer to the new primary element as the fifth, and also called it ether, using a word from the Platonic "Timaeus" that Aristotle did not use.
