The Girl’s Cake is an easy-to-cook treat. This cake is different in that it tastes light, non-greasy and slightly sour due to the presence of mayonnaise in the dough, and lemon in the cream. The cake itself is considered to be biscuit, but the cakes are made according to a not very common recipe.

The resulting mass should not be too liquid or too tight.

After preparing the dough, it must be divided into three equal parts. Traditionally, cocoa is added to the dough for the middle cake to obtain a chocolate color. Therefore, photos of the “Maiden” cake found on the Web are usually with an inner brown cake. But you can not add cocoa dough at all, and the cakes will remain completely white, and also color all the cakes in chocolate color or, conversely, make the last two brown. The amount of cocoa can be varied, starting from which shade is required. Fortunately, cooking is a creative process, and there is always a place for imagination.

It is difficult to indicate the cooking time of the cakes, because it will depend on the characteristics of the oven. But the heat level is best set to a mode that is slightly below average. Then the cakes will not burn out and will not remain raw inside.

For the preparation of cream can be used as 0.5 tbsp. granulated sugar, and the remaining half a can of condensed milk. But, in addition to this, crushed lemon must be added to the cream. To do this, you need to cut the lemon, remove seeds from it, and chop the pulp and peel in a blender. Then mix all the ingredients for sour cream. The process of preparing the cream can be done while baking cakes or while waiting for them to cool. Only cooled cake layers can be lubricated! The advantage of sour cream is that it soaks amazingly into baked dough. But due to its fluidity, problems may arise with decorating the dessert.

The "girl" cake can be layered with just cream, or with the addition of various ingredients. Due to the fact that a huge number of products can be combined with this cake, you can use canned or fresh fruits, chocolate, marmalade, mini-marshmallows, small corn balls, jam residues, in general, anything. It is beneficial to use what is simply at home. At least in one recipe for the Girl’s Cake there are no clear indications of cream supplements.

After the crown of the cake is solemnly smeared with the rest of the cream, it is time to decorate the future "king" of the festive table. The fluidity of sour cream will not allow to decorate it with patterns of butter cream from a confectionery syringe or bag, jewelry from mastic will also leave it. The easiest way is to decorate such a cake with crumbs from cookies or cropped edges or tops of biscuit cakes, if you cut them. If you add cocoa to some of the crumbs or take, for example, chocolate chip cookies, then you can pour various patterns, after making a stencil. A cookie must necessarily be just a cookie - without cream, chocolate, etc. Otherwise, it will not crumble properly. You can also put fruit on top of the cake decorated with crumbs on top and sides, for example, those that were used during the layer of cream cake, you can sprinkle with special fine caramel to decorate confectionery, add small marmalade, etc. Again - it all depends on the imagination . The main thing is to ensure that nothing crawls away from the liquid sour cream. But just a cake sprinkled with crumbs looks very nice and appetizing.
