For most people, the Lada brand is associated with something Soviet, outdated and certainly not fashionable or modern. But last year, this company made a real revolution by releasing (so far only on the domestic market) the Lada-Jeep-X-RAY car.
History of creation
Why is this SUV so dramatically different from all previous models? The answer is very simple - the model was developed by the famous Steve Mattin, who worked for such major companies as Volvo and Mercedes for more than nine years.
Why an SUV? There is also a very simple and logical explanation for this. According to the research, the most dynamically developing cars are the SUV and SUV type.
The origin of the name "Lada-Jeep-X-RAY" is associated with the design of the car, or rather, with the combination of the grille, headlights and air intake. The false radiator grill and tilted headlights form an absolutely clearly visible outline of the Latin "X" - the first letter in the model name.
Exterior design
Outside, Lada Jeep has smooth and dynamic body lines inherent in urban cars. The large voluminous VAZ emblem located on the radiator grille is well marked . Unlike previous models, it was made large and catchy, which means that the company itself has ceased to be “embarrassed” of its works.
In addition to innovative design, the new Lada Jeep has several details reminiscent of previous models: a shell-shaped hood, thin and long turn signals located above the headlights - these features make the car look like the legendary Lada 4x4 SUV.
Interior design
Lada Jeep is designed for four people for whom separate seats are installed. An excellent design move is the panoramic roof, which gives the cabin an additional feeling of spaciousness.
The dashboard is very high quality. Here you can note the speedometer, which is clearly distinguished in comparison with other devices - this is a hint that the car is fast and dynamic. Some details, such as hidden LED lights, give the car a somewhat futuristic look.
There are also controversial issues, which include the English language interface. Perhaps this was done with the aim of exporting the model to the world market, or perhaps just a tribute to fashion.
The target audience
According to AvtoVAZ management, Lada-Jeep-2012 is designed for young and middle-aged people who lead an active lifestyle and combine urban and suburban trips. Such a wide range of applications of this car is caused, on the one hand, by the “urban” forms of the model, and, on the other hand, by good off-road qualities, which are ensured by high ground clearance, small overhangs and a large wheel diameter.
End view
Despite the fact that at the presentation, Lada Jeep looked more than impressive, serial models will not have such a chic look. In addition to some functionality, the bend in the doorway will also be removed. Manufacturers attribute this to the fact that each bend requires a lot of additional costs, which greatly affects the price of the machine.
Therefore, do not run to buy this model as soon as you saw it in the picture - it is quite possible that in the serial version it will look not so exotic at all.
