Congratulations to Teacher's Day

Teacher's Day is one of the most beloved school holidays. Having worked at the school for more than 20 years, I know well how much pleasure this holiday brings to both students and teachers.

Children and I usually prepared for it together: no matter how creative the students are, they still remain children, they need help, guidance.

Preparation for the holiday with us most often took place in several stages.

At the first, the children were divided into creative groups, distributed responsibilities, came up with key points. At the second stage, they conducted preliminary training: they asked the teachers what kind of music they like, what they like, what they are fond of. Then they composed congratulations on Teacher's Day. Usually for each teacher several congratulations were prepared.

The first one is serious, official, beautifully written on a printing card or other letterhead, they were handed during the final concert, accompanied by flowers, words of gratitude and recognition. Such congratulations on Teacher's Day can be prepared by high school students, and signed by the school management.

The second is comic, funny, written or painted on handmade scrolls, handmade cards. Usually, such comic congratulations on Teacher's Day were given to teachers before classes or were an integral part of the festive script. I have dozens of such congratulations collected over the years of work. These comic congratulations on Teacher’s Day usually bring much more pleasure than official ones, because they reflect the feelings of children, emphasize those features of the teacher that schoolchildren most often notice.

When the “written” ones were ready, the students began to prepare “oral” greetings for Teacher's Day. They were divided into two types: a huge congratulatory newspaper and a festive script.

The highlight of the newspaper has always been friendly cartoons for teachers, funny greetings for Teacher's Day, comic poems dedicated to the activities of teachers.

On the day of the celebration, music prepared at the request of teachers sounded on school radio, and after classes there was a concert.

The festive scenario, of course, has always been different, but a little standard, as, however, in all schools. There was a place in it for songs that the schoolchildren themselves “re-composed” about their favorite teachers, cheerful dances, and declaration of love to teachers. Congratulations to Teacher's Day sounded here in every word, in every issue. Our script has always been not a separate set of numbers, but an integral play in which the whole school participated.

One of the best, from my point of view, was called "Our Lyceum in 100 Years." Dances, songs, excerpts from theatrical productions were accompanied by slides from the “future”, real photographs of teachers, photographs of teachers, students after 100 years (high school students familiar with Photoshop had to work here).

As a result, we got a touching, laced with love story about the present and future of our school. The final words, although they did not contain congratulations, are still remembered by all the teachers who worked at that time in our lyceum. It is in these words that deep gratitude to teachers lies, recognition of their merits:

“... I love you, my Lyceum.” And the usual lessons, and tests, and on holiday the noise of a fun disco, and my classmates - I will not exchange for anything.

My lyceum ...

... and night vigils over homework, and going to the library, and punishing parents for a poor grade and the question that arises in a tired brain: "When will it end?"

All this is my Lyceum. And the kind faces of teachers, always ready to help, support, and favorite subjects, and the joy of what you understood, finally understood how this task is done ...

Congratulations completed on such a piercing note of declaration of love will never leave indifferent teachers or students.
