The charms of civilization, such as sewers, end outside the boundaries of urban settlements, so in the villages and at the dachas all amenities are still located in the courtyard. In the summer, this method is quite satisfactory, but what to do in winter or late autumn, when it is damn cold or dank and damp? For those who live in country houses, there are several ways to solve this problem. The easiest option is to hire specialists who will quickly and competently equip your sewer system. But if you want, especially with a budget deficit, you can solve this issue on your own.
How to do this?
First of all, you need to carefully study the plan of the personal plot. After that, develop a bathroom project. It is necessary to determine where the drain pit will be located, and where the toilet itself will be located. On the advice of knowledgeable people, in order to avoid unwanted problems, a place should be reserved for the cesspool where its contents will not interfere with the outbuildings. And, of course, the chosen place should be convenient for laying the entire sewer system in such a way as to avoid a large number of bends. As soon as the project is ready, the next step will be its implementation directly.
Drain pit - how to build it?
First of all, in the planned part of the garden plot, you need to dig a hole 3.5 meters deep. For a private house, 15 m3 of volume is quite enough. The next step is to prepare the reinforcing cage and install inside. It is collected in a grid with large cells using arc welding. The optimal mesh size is 20 by 20 cm. The frame size is calculated so that the drain pit is wider and longer by 10 cm or more per meter in width and length.
Next, a wooden frame is created. It, in turn, should be shorter by 5 cm in length and width than the one that is poured with concrete. Together, this entire structure is a reinforced concrete tank for sewage. In it, a punch at a distance of forty centimeters and then eighty upwards from the bottom to the ground punches holes the size of a cell of a metal frame. They are staggered relative to each other. This is necessary so that in the future the outflow of liquids is carried out in conjunction with groundwater. Parts of the channel are laid out on the skeleton. The distance between each part is 50 cm. In this order, they are welded to the armature of the frame. Then they cover everything with a sheet of five-millimeter steel. The drain pit can be strengthened both by this and other methods.
Pipe laying
Today, the choice of pipes is quite large, but for this case, PVC pipes are best suited. Their main advantages are: the ability to do without the use of a welding machine, their relatively low weight and long service life without repair. If a cesspool in a private house is located in a straight line from the bathroom, and the sewer system will be laid without bends, then everything is simple. It is necessary to dig a ditch a meter deep along the foundation. At the same time, PVC pipes pass with a slope towards the pit. The slope will be three to four centimeters per linear meter. Why is this necessary - so that the fecal mass freely flows through the pipes along with the fluid flow.
For good depreciation of the system of PVC pipes, the bottom of the ditch located under them must be laid out with straw or rags. The hole for the pipe in the concrete frame is made using a punch. Then it is surrounded by pieces of rubber that can be made from car tires. For external sewage , PVC pipes with a diameter of 160 mm are also used. So that the pipes do not freeze, they are wrapped in glass wool, and on top with polyethylene.
At the final stage, a hole is made in the steel lid of the pit with a diameter of 20 centimeters. A pipe of at least 120 cm long is installed above it. The finishing coat will be glass wool and polyethylene, everything will be covered with soil on top so that only the steel coating is visible. Sewerage system is ready!
