The Ministry of Emergencies is a state authority that has become one of the key in modern Russia. Having replaced the inferior structures of the Soviet era, this organization helps the inhabitants of our country (and not only) cope with all kinds of disasters from year to year.

In fact, these three letters mean a few words - the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Civil Defense, Emergencies and Disaster Management. There is an international name - EMERCOM, which also represents the initial letters of English words (Emergency Control Ministry of Russia).
History of occurrence
In 1990, December 27, the RCC was formed. This day is considered the date of occurrence of the Ministry of Emergencies. Decoding RKS - Russian rescue corps. The latter was later renamed the State Emergency Committee. With the advent of new time, the department has changed its name more than once. And only in January 1994 it received its current name - the Ministry of Emergencies, the decoding for most of whose citizens is the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Structure
In fact, this, of course, is not just a state body, but also a huge emergency service in terms of its scope . EMERCOM departments are located in all regions of Russia. The fire department is now subordinate to the ministry. Until recently, the department was successfully headed by Sergei Kuzhugetovich Shoigu, now the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation. Now, at the head of a huge organization is Vladimir Puchkov.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations is also the leading structural unit of the Russian Emergencies Ministry - the Russian system of emergency prevention. The organization’s headquarters is located at 3. Teatralny pr., Moscow. At present, the Russian Federation has a Single Rescue Telephone Number 112, as well as a telephone number for emergency psychological assistance, 8 (499) 216-50 -fifty. A network of public reception offices of the Russian Emergencies Ministry was also organized.

The EMERCOM of Russia has the following official tasks:

Investigation of the causes of air crashes is also not without participation of the Ministry of Emergencies. Deciphering flight recorders is, of course, a matter for other specialists, but before that they still need to be found. Currently, employees of this service are providing assistance and delivering IDPs from eastern regions of Ukraine to the regions of Russia. In emergency cases, airplanes deliver Russian citizens who are seriously ill abroad and back to the country to provide medical assistance.
Now many scientists are talking about climate change, unusually strong seismic activity and threats from space. It is possible that in the future, humanity may face more serious problems. Therefore, it is important to be prepared for natural disasters and other threats. And the only institution that currently controls the situation is the Russian Emergencies Ministry. It is not without reason that in our country this agency is a power agency.
