Today's education provides an opportunity to learn to any person with a desire. For this, stationary (full-time) and evening, correspondence and distance learning in higher education institutions are used. Everyone can choose a convenient option for themselves. And if for young children a more appropriate form is stationary study with the ability to feel the delights of student life, to delve deeper into the subjects studied, to spend maximum time during study, what does it mean by correspondence form of training? Let's consider this question in more detail.
Many people mistakenly think this form of education is not serious. Say, the correspondence form of training is to appear at the university twice a year, to pay for studies and exams, and as a result, after five years, pick up the finished specialist’s crust. In fact, many, no doubt, do just that, but part-time education does not necessarily imply just such a study.
For many, distance learning is an opportunity to get a higher education on the job. After all, not everyone can go to get a university diploma right after school. Of course, this requires a more responsible approach than stationary training, because the principle of obtaining such an education consists in a large number of independent work, the search for the necessary information and independent mastery of it. Right after graduation, not all teenagers are capable of such a level of work with knowledge.
Another advantage of this form of training is its openness. Admission to extramural studies is real for a person of any age, while when studying in a hospital, this factor often plays an important role. In addition, the correspondence form at many faculties has both a paid and a budget quota. But if for admission to the state form of education in a hospital it takes a lot of effort to pass a frantic competition even for not the most prestigious specialties, then in absentia the number of people applying for a place is usually several times lower. Therefore, it becomes real even for children from socially disadvantaged families; there would be a desire to learn.
The advantages of
correspondence education are as follows:
- An individual approach to training and programming taking into account each individual student;
- part-time education is an opportunity not to break away from the main activity of work or caring for a child;
- it is cheaper for the student;
- the quality of knowledge gained in this form of training is higher, because it does not imply a simple memorization of the text, but assumes free work with information;
- there are no age restrictions;
- A good opportunity for students from remote corners of the country to get an education in a metropolitan university.
Of course, he also has its drawbacks:
- extramural education - this is the lack of corporate student life ;
- with this form of study, men are not allowed to defer from the army;
- there is no way to consult with a teacher or fellow students on many issues of study "here and now".
But for many people, this option is currently becoming the key to achieving their goal - getting higher education.
