Adolf Hitler can rightfully be called one of the greatest demons of the 20th century. However, in the 21st century, his PR skills would also be rated at the highest level: it was thanks to the Fuhrer and his fanatical fascination with occultism that the whole world learned about the ancient symbol of Buddhism - the swastika, which the fascists portrayed under the left rotation angle of 45 degrees. However, it was a negative popularization, or more precisely - Hitler humiliated and defiled the ancient sacred symbol of balance, for which he paid. Today, the attitude towards the swastika is contradictory, but this is due to ignorance of its sacred essence.
Ancient symbol
Swastika in Buddhism is found in many ways. However, few people today know that in the ancient Slavic culture, as well as among many peoples of the world, this symbol was the most powerful amulet.
Its derivative is the Christian cross, but long before its appearance there was a sign with lines crossed at an angle of 90 degrees, connected exactly in the center. Many mystics knew about the Original Equilateral Cross, and E.P. Blavatsky also mentioned it in her writings.
Finds by archaeologists and historians
The Equilateral Cross was a prototype of the swastika both in Buddhism and in many world cultures; it symbolized the equivalent transition from the rule of the Sun to the Moon on the days of the spring and autumn equinox. Enclosed in a circle, this glyph has become a symbol of solar energy and its beneficial effects on all spheres of life.
Then there was a transformation of this sign into a swastika, and it acquired its distinctive features from different peoples.
Today, archeology reverses the established picture of the world: sometimes finds discovered in different parts of the world do not fit into the academic system so much that information about them is deliberately kept silent by official science.
Area of Indo-European Culture
The first images of the swastika were found in Mesopotamia: their historical date of birth is around the 7th century BC. e.
The spread of Indo-European culture was far from generally accepted boundaries, which is proved by the Osberg boat found in Scandinavia dating back to 800 AD. e., with four swastikas depicted on its body.
On the territory of the European part of the continent, there is a lot of evidence of the inclusion of this symbol in the culture of the peoples living here.
The art of Ancient Greece and Rome, Egypt and Asia is also replete with ornaments, where there is a swastika sign. The presence of this sacred solar symbol in countries with a Buddhist religion is quite natural: in China, Mongolia, Tibet and India.
The most ancient of the solar signs found in Russia are the images in the church of St. Sophia, built in 1037 in Kiev. In addition, in the culture of the Russian North, many ornaments decorating articles of clothing and everyday life have survived to the present. They could have been much larger if not for the “purge” of the 40s of the last century, when ancient sarafans, hats, etc., were burned at the stake according to the decree of the party.
The art of the ancient masters of Azerbaijan also has many swastika signs, it is especially often used to create carpets. And it was on this territory that ancient images of the solar symbol were found dating back to the VI century BC. e. The same age artifacts discovered near the Dead Sea are a mosaic in ancient synagogues.
Among the American Indians, this sign was also popular, as evidenced by photographs of the beginning of the last century and exhibited in museums household items of the indigenous population of America.
Thus, to argue that this symbol is common only in Buddhism, and the swastika can only be attributed to this culture, at least illiterate.
Variations of one theme
Since the swastika traditionally used in Buddhism was, to put it mildly, borrowed from the Third Reich for its own purposes, we will understand the fundamental differences between them.
To begin with, Hitler himself didn’t "get" to the idea of using this symbol: he was encouraged by the members of an occult society formed in the 19th century. However, for some “higher” reasons, the symbol was changed, probably in order to better serve the idea of electing a German nation, all of which immediately became “true Aryans”.
The Third Reich variant was left-handed, rotating counterclockwise, which, according to some sources, means that energy is going down to the other world. And in the realms of darkness black magic triumphs, primitive instincts and ancient rituals tied to the cycles of the moon.
I must say that the actions of the special department of Anenerbe, whose representatives became frequent guests with Tibetan sorcerers practicing Bon-po magic, were aimed specifically at obtaining secret knowledge. And today, as many centuries ago, the guardians of ancient rituals wear a swastika on their hats: in Buddhism, this symbol has many shades.
Perhaps the choice of the left-wing symbol can explain the massacres of civilians by the Nazis.
Counter option
The ancient Slavs more often used a swastika, the rotation of which is directed to the right: and this is not only spiritual growth, but also worship of the Sun and light, as well as rituals that revive and renew energy.
However, it cannot be argued that there was such a polar separation in the directions of rotation of the symbol among the Slavs and Europeans. Both cycles were used. Probably one of them was dominant, and the second - auxiliary.
In Buddhist philosophy, the right side is governed by male energy, more active and strong; and the left - feminine, mystical and influenced by the night luminary. And since the basis of any swastika is an equilateral cross, the goal in this case is the balancing of energies.
By the way, in the culture of ancient Mohenjo-Daro, both versions of the solar symbol were also used.
Fiery symbol of life
The swastika in Buddhism means that the four-armed Agni, the god of Fire transforming the world, transforms this world, getting more and more perfect forms from it. In addition, this sign symbolizes life itself in all its diversity and inexhaustible prosperity. And the quintessence of all this is the sun, without which nothing can be born on earth.
Perhaps that is why the custom has reached our days to designate with a solar symbol any beginning of life: this is especially common in the northern part of India.
And in other countries where Buddha is worshiped, any celebration cannot do without a swastika: the significance in Buddhism of this sign is confirmed by its images on the walls of temples, public buildings, simple houses, household items, decorations, etc.
World harmony
Whatever the modifications of the swastika, but there is an invariable value at its core - it is an equilateral cross in which the feminine symbolizes the horizontal direction, and the masculine symbolizes the vertical.
And the world, in need of harmony, constantly strives for balance, and therefore both of these energies do not exist one without the other, complement each other and have equal value.
It is believed that the signs of the cross and circle are identical and are a symbol of the same. It is no coincidence that the ancient astrological glyph denoting the sun is a circle with an equilateral cross included in it.
In this simple symbol lies the essence of all subsequent crosses, derived from the original. If you carefully study the images of ancient Christian shrines, you can find that the crosses that adorn the vestments of priests and icons are mostly equal and are adjacent to the swastika.
Spiritual law
In addition to many sacred knowledge, swastika in Buddhism means that on the spiritual level, the main task of man is precisely balance. Any violation of this law entails getting the wheels of samsara in the millstone, and therefore the balance between the material and spiritual world must be strictly observed.
Now the reason for the collapse of the Third Reich is becoming clear, however, should such a strong symbol be ignored only because a certain possessed artist, who became the Fuhrer from unsatisfied ambitions, had the imprudence to use sacred knowledge for his own purposes?
So what is a swastika? This is a symbol of the unity of opposites: harmony inside and out. This is day, becoming night, evil, turning into good and vice versa. In a word, duality that develops the soul.
