Those who used the 3G modems of well-known cellular companies will probably remember that when connected to a computer via the USB port, it finds not only the modem itself, but also an integrated flash drive. Android, unfortunately, is not friendly with such devices, and therefore you have to make some efforts for the modem to work correctly.
In this regard, some Huawei models are the least difficult and make it easy to connect a USB modem for the tablet. To do this, you need to remove the pin code request on the SIM card and put the device in the "Only modem" mode. You may need some utilities. In some cases, in order to connect a 3G modem for a tablet, root privileges are required, as well as the RootExplorer file manager. After that, you need to do some simple operations with some files.
The 3G modem for the tablet can also be configured by installing patches on some devices, for example, on Acer tablets. True, for this, certain versions of the assembly must be installed on the tablet PC, otherwise the patch for the modem to work cannot be installed. In the tab “Modem” you will need the following information: port number, as well as the port speed for the modem. After that, run the utility. After entering any name, press ok and select Connect to from the File menu. Here you should select the port number that was found in the properties, click ok and enter the speed in the window that opens. After that, enter “ate1” in the program window and wait for the response “ok”. Next, enter “at ^ u2diag = 0” and wait for the same answer again. After this procedure, you can close the program, and remove the USB modem from the computer. Now it is ready to use.
