Plexiglass yarns are used in linoleum production technology. One of the main indicators of its reliability is the web thickness, which is 4.5 mm. This flooring has anti-static and anti-slip properties. Products are processed by technological compounds, which are designed to eliminate all kinds of bacteria, fungi.
Household linoleum
Household type of coating is intended for residential premises. It has a high-quality protective layer without various additives, as well as an additional polyurethane layer that provides resistance to scratches and dents. The material is easy to lay, easy to clean.
Household Tarkett linoleum , the technical characteristics of which allow it to be used in rooms with a small floor load, is made without the addition of toxic substances. Products of the IDILLIA NOVA collection can be used in offices, their thickness is 3.4 mm, the protective layer is 0.5 mm. A high degree of density is inherent in the appearance of GRAND household linoleum.
Semi-commercial linoleum
The type of flooring, called semi-commercial, is used for installation in rooms with an average load - kitchen, hotel rooms, small offices. The decor is both monotonous and imitating wooden, marble, stone coverings. The width of the canvas is 2-4 m, which makes it possible to carry out laying in various rooms.
The company produces semi-commercial heterogeneous linoleum "Tarkett". Its technical characteristics are not very different from commercial collections. The upper protective layer is made of PVC, the thickness is 0.7 mm and above. The bottom layer consists of a vinyl mixture and quartz sand. This type has a strong fiberglass mesh. The service life of this material is from 10 years or more.
Commercial linoleum
The commercial form of linoleum is heterogeneous and homogeneous. Heterogeneous material is used in rooms with a large floor load. Homogeneous webs are designed for public spaces. This product has the highest level of wear resistance.
Commercial Tarkett linoleum technical characteristics has such:
- a layer of protection of 0.7 mm and above;
- weight - 2.9 kg per m 2 ;
- width from 2 to 4 m.

Preparation of coating for installation
Tarkett linoleum of all types easily fits. The base for laying the coating should be dry, clean, smooth, free from defects and cracks. Household or semi-commercial linoleum is not recommended to be laid directly on a wooden floor, this surface should be protected with 6 mm plywood sheets.
Laying a heterogeneous semi-commercial coating must be carried out in a room where the relative humidity does not exceed 70%. If Tarkett linoleum is used in other cases, its technical characteristics may deteriorate.
Unpacking canvases must be carried out in a dry room, at an air temperature of at least + 15 ° C. The coating, the delivery of which was carried out at a temperature from 0 to + 10 ° , requires acclimatization for 24 hours, and at a temperature below 0 ° - 48 hours. Characteristics of Tarkett linoleum require its acclimatization in expanded form. To do this, rolls must be spread out and left at room temperature for a day.
Stages of laying linoleum
After preparing the base and the material itself, you can proceed to linoleum flooring. The process is carried out in several stages:
- Adjustment of the canvas. Place the expanded coating close to a flat wall. If it has convolutions, then lay the canvas overlap.
- Fixation of floor material. Bend the edges of the material, tear off the protective layer of the double-sided tape and stretch the linoleum, pressing it to the base.
- Trimming the edge. Having pressed a cloth against a wall, mark a cut line, leaving a gap between a wall and linoleum of 5 - 10 mm. When cutting, make sure that the coating does not form a wave.
- Gluing. Fold the canvas halfway and tear off the protective film on the double-sided tape. When laying the sheet, make sure that no bubbles appear under it. Go along the surface of linoleum with a roller towards the corners. Lay the other half in the same way.
- Sealing joints. Seal the joints by cold welding using glue in a special package. To do this, carefully place the end-to-end tip of the canvases and, moving it along, apply adhesive to the thickness of the coating.

Tarkett linoleum has high quality and beautiful appearance. This wonderful flooring will last you a very long time.
