Krovostok is a popular Russian band that performs rap music. The article contains the discography of Krovostok, interesting facts about the group and its members, in general, everything that will be useful for a fan of the group and just a music lover to know.
Members of the group
There are only three participants in the Krovostok collective - Anton Chernyak is engaged in vocals and the creation of texts, Dmitry Fayn also creates the texts, and Konstantin Rudchik does the beats. Earlier, the beats for the songs of “Bloodthirst” were created by Sergey Krylov, and the backing vocalist was Konstantin Arshba.
Group biography
The biography of “Bloodstream” is very interesting. The members of the team, whose work contains selective mate and violence, together graduated from art school. Away from the gangsters themselves, the founders of the group are artist and poet Anton “Shilo” Chernyak and writer Dmitry “Feldman” Fine. Distributing their music for free on the Internet, they quickly found a fan base in intellectual circles, as well as in those very gangster enclaves that were so vividly represented in their songs.
In their texts, the real, dark history of the 90s is mixed with stories of violence and strange Russian mysticism, everything is set in a calm and almost detached manner. In addition to brutal rhymes and the ubiquitous western muse, the songs were notable for their monotonous presentation, something new for the Moscow scene. Due to the frequent use of obscenities, the duo was often mentioned in the same breath with the rock band Leningrad.
The group made a fuss around themselves, speaking in private venues in front of selected crowds. By the fall of 2004, they moved to larger Moscow clubs, where the audience highlighted their low-key stage presence, which helped to note the seriousness of their project - more tribute to gangster rap than mockery. The graphic content of rap was something new for Russia and was well suited for the corrupt and dangerous state of post-Soviet society.
Over the past few years, in the bloodstream’s discography, participants have consciously pushed gangsta rap aesthetics to extremes, writing brilliantly detailed, believable and witty, albeit completely fictional stories about the hectic and adventurous lives of drug dealers, street gangs and killers (with all the curses that you can imagine). In fact, the quality of the narrative of their songs is so impressive that their fan base initially consisted mainly of Moscow journalists and intellectuals. Musicians do not spread about their personal lives.
Discography
Discography of "Bloodstream" begins with the fact that the first album "Rivers of Blood" was released in 2004 - this gave rise to the existence of the group. The second album “Through” in 2006 lowered interest in the work of the collective. Many considered the texts empty and superficial, and in the lyrics there was a softening of the images.
When the third album “Dumbbell” was released in 2008, the group began to enjoy popularity again, perhaps this was facilitated by the drain of some songs from the album onto the Web. In March 2014 the album "Studen" was released. At the moment, the bloodstream discography is completed by the Lombard and BW albums released in 2015 and 2018, respectively.
Interesting facts about the group "Krovostok"
The covers for the albums are painted by Anton "Shilo" Chernyak. It is known that the team members came up with the name together to scare everyone. The true meaning is known only to the musicians themselves, and they keep this information a secret.
The vocalist of the team in his youth was in a psychiatric clinic, so as not to serve in the army. Anton "Shilo" Chernyak spoke positively about the actions of Pussy Riot and the performances of Pyotr Pavlensky.
In 2015, employees of the Federal Drug Control Service of the city of Yaroslavl urged citizens to prevent people under the age of majority from entering the Krovostok concerts. The Directorate of the Federal Drug Control Service substantiated its decision by the fact that the work of the group promotes the use of narcotic drugs and promiscuous sexual relations among adolescents. In the same 2015, a Yaroslavl court banned the work of the team for the propaganda of illegal actions and the use of narcotic drugs.
One of the authors of the texts, Dmitry Fine, called the ban unconstitutional. The lawyer in this case was Damir Gainutdinov. The group’s appeal hearing took place in the fall of 2015. In November 2015, the court quashed its decision regarding the Krovostok collective.
