Cancellation of work books

Labor books (TC), which have served Russian citizens faithfully for more than a decade, may very soon disappear. The idea of ​​canceling this document belongs to the Ministry of Health and Social Development, which decided to prepare and implement some changes in the Labor Code of the Russian Federation.

Experts believe that the abolition of work books should have happened much earlier, but some professional leaders rightly decided that a sharp rejection of them could lead to a real social explosion. Indeed, despite the fact that all the information on the labor activity of each citizen is stored in the database of the Pension Fund and is strictly personified, it is impossible to fully rely on it. Any virus, hacking or other force majeure may lead to partial or complete loss of data.

In addition, it is believed that specialists born before 1967 can suffer the most, since without a work book it will be practically impossible for them to confirm the length of service that is necessary to calculate the pension and its accrual. It is no secret to anyone that sooner or later any organization, one way or another, ceases to exist, and it’s sometimes not possible to “find the ends” in order to take at least a supporting certificate. Therefore, for this category of citizens a work book, the cancellation of which is almost on the first place on the agenda of the Pension Fund, is actually the only way to confirm your experience.

However, the PFR press service claims that all databases owned by the fund are protected by the most modern means today, which are certified by the competent authorities. It is alleged that inside the PF there is a so-called special information security regime, and a complex of organizational and technical measures, which is also being implemented, is aimed at protecting the databases from any unauthorized access and copying not only by outsiders, but also by the officials of the fund.

Although officials suggest that the complete abolition of work books can be painless only within 10 years, PF representatives do not think so. They are confident that an independent record of their working period can help people with an older generation to part with TC. When applying for a new job, a supporting letter of the head or a copy of the employment contract can serve as a confirmation document of their previous activities .

However, some nuances are still not taken into account. Thus, the abolition of the work book may prevent obtaining a loan. Like it or not, but in many banking institutions, in addition to other papers, they still require this document, since it confirms that his bearer has constant stable work, and, therefore, the ability to pay monthly fees.

Nevertheless, the abolition of work books has its advantages. However, they concern more likely not the owners of the shopping mall, but employees of personnel services. If this document is eliminated, personnel officers will be able to breathe a little more freely, because they will no longer have to fill out books and keep their records. This is especially true for large enterprises, where the masses of people regularly get a job or quit. In addition, the opportunity to spoil some people’s future lives by firing them for undesirable items (for absenteeism, for failure to perform official duties properly, etc.) automatically disappears.

Of course, for people with a long working history, a work book can be a great help when writing a resume. In addition, an option is being considered in which the employee may have a work book and, if desired, provide it to the employer for recording. But the employer himself will not have the right to demand labor from the employee. Also, PF representatives assure that the cancellation of work books will not affect the benefits that will be granted to those retired citizens who have any awards noted in the document.
