To begin with, we’ll figure out what the word “cupcake” means in principle. If translated literally from English, then it will mean "cup cake." It is a delicacy - a cupcake familiar to us, flavored with cream. Cupcakes with berries are prepared either in baking paper or in foil. And the name of the dessert is understandable - in size it is just comparable to a small cup from which they usually drink coffee. But cupcakes with berries are a real decoration of any holiday table.
A bit of history
According to experts, cupcakes were presented to the world back in the nineteenth century, in the United States. Cakes quickly gained popularity among the people and became an indispensable element of virtually every holiday, and it does not matter whether it is a wedding or a children's birthday. And over time, beautifully decorated cupcakes replaced the usual cakes for us.
What will be needed for cooking?
It is not at all difficult to please yourself and your loved ones with the most delicate cupcakes with berries at home. By the principle of preparation, they are not much different from the recipes of ordinary muffins or pies. So, if you decide to cook a treat, make sure that the following ingredients are at hand:
- eggs (in the amount of three pieces);
- butter (150 grams);
- sugar (140 grams);
- milk (50 ml);
- flour (one and a half cups);
- baking powder (1 tsp);
- vanillin.
In our recipe, the choice of filling was made in favor of berries. For this filling you will need: starch (1 tbsp. L.), A cup of currant (you can use any favorite berries), sugar (2 tbsp.).
Getting down to cooking
So, all the ingredients are prepared, you can proceed to the main part, to prepare cupcakes:
- Beat the eggs with sugar until a uniform foam appears, which should rise slightly.
- After this, pre-softened butter should be added to the mass, and do not forget that you need to continue to whisk the mixture.
- Add milk to the resulting mass, after which we begin to carefully and stage-by-stage add flour, vanillin and baking powder.
- Mix the dough thoroughly. Everything is done correctly, if the consistency of the dough looks like a thick sour cream.
If you want the most ordinary muffins, then you can immediately start baking - the dough is ready. In our case, the filling will be a glass of black currant. Berries should first be mixed with sugar and starch.
Cooking cupcakes with filling
Now you can proceed to the final stage:
- Take a tablespoon of cooked dough and put it in a cupcake mold. Experts advise using paper liners so that cupcakes do not stick to the mold and leave marks on the hands.
- After a spoonful of dough, the berries are laid out, and on top of them - another spoonful of dough.
- From this set of products should be about 17 cupcakes.
- Cupcakes with berries are baked for about half an hour. We put them in a preheated oven at 150-180 degrees.
To serve dessert on the festive table, you should decorate it. Usually creams for such muffins are cooked in butter, as it keeps its shape perfectly and at the same time has a mild taste. Cupcakes decorated with berries are another dish that will not leave anyone indifferent.
How to make a cream?
To prepare a gentle creamy cream, we need butter (150 grams), cottage cheese (140 grams), sugar (to taste). So, let's begin:
- Whisk a little with sugar (usually about a hundred grams is added).
- The oil mass should increase in size. After this, you need to add the curd cheese, still whisking the mixture in parallel.
- The cream is applied to the cupcakes immediately after preparation, otherwise it will harden.
Homemade cream is applied only to the cooled dessert. Use a pastry bag or spoon for this. You can also use various decorations, for example, pastry topping. Cupcakes with cream and berries diversify the holiday and the usual tea party.
