Biography
Tarja Soyle Susanna Turunen Kabuli came to this world on August 17, 1977. Her birthplace was the Finnish village of Puhos, located near Kitee. Mom Maryata was a member of the city administration, and dad, Teuvo Turunen, owned carpentry. The family was large, Tarja had two brothers - the older Timo and the younger Tony.
The girls' talent was noticed very early when, as a three-year-old baby, she diligently pulled out the song Enkeli taivaan under the arches of the temple in Kitee. Tarja Turunen was invited to sing in the church choir, where she received her first vocal lessons, and at the age of six she mastered the piano with might and main.

Work with Nightwish
It so happened that the creatively gifted classmate of Tarja Turunen Tuomas Hoopainen decided to assemble his own rock band, and one that had never been seen before. The musicians were matched, but the vocalist's place was still vacant.

Then two years of intense creative life followed, during which Tarja (due to family circumstances) missed important rehearsals and tore off more than one concert. Despite the fact that the group filmed several clips and recorded the album Once, the patience with the guys still burst. Therefore, at the end of the world tour in honor of the release of the new disc, Tarja Turunen received an official letter from her colleagues saying that she was fired.
Solo career
The girl was not particularly upset, having lost the opportunity to sing in everyone's favorite group. After all, there was a caring husband nearby, there was also the opportunity to create independently, at one’s discretion. Therefore, after leaving Nightwish, she moved to sunny Argentina.
