First of all, you should check the wire itself, with which the device is connected to the system unit. In the case of a USB keyboard, the problem may be that the device is blocked in the BIOS. In this situation, you need to perform a few simple steps. First, enter the BIOS, find the corresponding option there (it is called USB Keyboard Support), and then connect it, that is, change the position from Disabled to Enabled. After that, reboot the system. Often a much simpler option also helps - to remove the plug and connect it to another port.

not work on the computer is the lack of appropriate drivers in the system. Sometimes already installed ones can be deleted as a result of Windows glitches. To
update the driver manually, you should visit the official website of the keyboard manufacturer, find the corresponding section (Drivers) there, indicate the device model you are interested in and download the archive. In some cases, it may have its own installation program. Then, to install, just use the "Run file" function. If such an automatic program is not available, go to the “Device Manager”, select “Update drivers”, and then, using the manual search, specify the path to the folder into which the files were extracted from the archive. To complete the installation, restart the computer again.
Another variant of why the keyboard does not work on the computer is an attack by virus software. In this case, you need to install a good antivirus program, carefully scan all disks and delete infected files.
If the keyboard is wireless, the cause of the malfunction can also be found in the low battery level. It is also likely that the latter was simply damaged.
Separately, mention should be made of the possible reasons why the keyboard does not work on a netbook or laptop. Most often, problems arise when liquid (water or tea) has been spilled on the device. However, even if such incidents did not occur, it is likely that moisture is to blame for the reluctance of the keyboard buttons to respond to pressing. Few people know, however, condensation accumulates in household appliances and various equipment. In both cases, first of all, disconnect the device from the network, turn it off, remove the battery and dry the device thoroughly. You can clean the device from crumbs and dust yourself, the main thing at the same time is to remember the location of all the keys so that after nothing to be confused.
