VAZ-2120 is available on the platform of the familiar Niva since 1999. The car has an original single-volume load-bearing body, the rear right door is movable, which makes passenger landing more comfortable.
Compared to the same Niva, the wheelbase has increased by 0.5 m, the length of the minivan is 4.3 m, and we can safely say that this is the largest car in the AvtoVAZ lineup. Up to 7 people can simultaneously accommodate up to 7 people in the cabin on three rows of seats. The second and third rows can be transformed (folded), so a seven-seater minivan turns into a passenger-and-freight van. Such a car is considered an ideal vehicle for family vacations or company cars of small commercial structures. It successfully combines a relatively good cross, comfort, as well as a smooth ride.
As regards the build quality, there were double impressions. The engine and
chassis proved to be very good, which can not be said about the electrics of the cabin. Here it was considered appropriate to use ridiculous self-tapping screws, which turned out to be prone to twisting, the body as a whole was unsuccessfully welded. Confused and the lack of the ability to
adjust the headlights. With the exception of the above, there is nothing to complain about about the interior.
The instrument panel is designed in a rather original way; here you can see the “VAZ” style, and specifically, the instrument cluster of the tenth model. The heater is also borrowed, this time from Samara of the second generation. A sunroof is embedded above the front seats in the ceiling, and if desired, a second one can be added to the rear. It is strange that this was not done initially, because the rear windows of the VAZ-2120 do not open, and in hot weather the passengers in the back row in the car will be clearly uncomfortable. The machine is equipped with
power steering.
The VAZ-2120 brake system is also copied from the Niva, the front brakes are disc and the rear brakes are drum. A hand brake - with a cable drive to the rear brakes. It should be noted that the
braking distance of the car itself is quite long. The steering is also similar to the Niva. Gearbox (tuning VAZ-2120 in terms of transmission is again not unique) - 4x4 with differential all-wheel drive. Acceleration is slow, engine power is clearly not enough for a one and a half-ton car, the maximum speed is 140 km / h, but this is already a risk, since the wheel imbalance is noticeable to a large extent and the steering reaction is quite bad.
Briefly about the cost of the VAZ-2120. The price of a minivan can vary depending on the condition of the vehicle (they stopped releasing new models in 2006), its total mileage and operating conditions. In general, a used, but in good condition, car will cost the new owner $ 8-10 thousand.
