In just a decade, the popularity of traumatic weapons has reached all conceivable limits. In response to ever-increasing demand, manufacturers piled up arms store shelves with their products. Now you can count dozens, if not hundreds of different types and samples of such weapons of self-defense. And in this regard, the buyer faces a difficult question: "What a good traumatic gun to choose?" Let's try to figure out together what is better to buy. What qualities should a good traumatic gun have?
Efficiency and Effectiveness
The main objective of a traumatic weapon is to protect its owner from unlawful actions of other persons or animal attacks. This is achieved in two ways: psychological and, so to speak, physical (traumatic). The psychological method means the impact on the attacker by the sight of a pistol aimed at him, when he is not able to determine the military weapon in the hands of the defender or “traumatic”. This effect is enhanced by the realistic sound of a shot. The traumatic method means the immediate possibility of a bullet fired from a traumatic gun to stop aggression. When a good traumatic copy gun is used, one effect is superimposed on another. The attacker, having received a rubber bullet and experiencing pain from the blow, is not able to determine the degree of damage and the type of bullet that hit him.
The contradiction between efficiency and effectiveness
Alas, in one model it is impossible to achieve high similarity to a combat pistol and maximum stopping action. This is due to the small muzzle energy of the “injuries” and the small weight of rubber bullets. Modern combat pistols have a maximum caliber of 11.43 mm, and even such a diameter does not make the rubber bullet truly effective. In this case, attention should be paid mainly to the quality of the assembly and components of the weapon, because its striking capabilities are more dependent on the cartridge used than on the design of the sample. Of course, the larger the caliber, the better, therefore less than 9 mm - this will already be exclusively a “scarecrow”.
