Ways to draw lilacs
Whatever drawing technique you choose - with a pencil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, crayons, there is only one scheme: first you create the base or shape of the lilac branch, then proceed to draw leaves, flowers and other details.
The difference is how you will create a form for placing flowers. Possible options:
- draw one solid oval or pyramid, like a watermelon slice (picture 1);
- create a few circles (picture 2).
As for the leaves, they should be drawn a little wrapped, and not straight.

- Now do the drawing of the leaves. Make sharper contours, give them a shape.
- Then draw outer flowers on each oval. How to do this is shown in Figure 2.
- Now you can proceed to filling the middle of the peduncle. Draw four-leaf flowers in a chaotic order, gradually filling the peduncle completely (Figure 3).
- Then draw a stem with a few thin branches that connect flower beds and leaves (Figure 3).
- Engage in a more detailed drawing of the leaves, mark the veins on them.
- To make the bouquet more magnificent, draw a few leaflets with streaks in the background .

Getting to the decoration
How to draw lilac in color? Use, for example, colored pencils.
For starters, imagine where the shadow will fall in the picture. This will help you make the drawing more interesting. Now proceed to decorate. Use a purple pencil for flowers and green for leaves. Do not forget to lighten and darken some areas, as in the picture above. There are two ways to do this:
- use several shades of lilac and green;
- Press harder or loosen the pressure on the pencil where necessary.
Using this technique, you can make real pictures with the image of large bouquets. The main advice is to try to correctly assemble the branches of lilac among themselves, as well as harmoniously place them on a piece of paper.
