So the production of the Granta model would be simply inappropriate from a commercial point of view. But since many motorists were waiting for this car, the manufacturers left hope for its publication. Having said that development is frozen indefinitely.
Appearance
Nevertheless, despite the paused development process, Grant Wagon deserves attention. It is distinguished from a sedan not only by increased capacity and dimensions. Designers also modified somewhat. The front part is also slightly raised. This would have a beneficial effect on handling and patency. Indeed, the absence of low overhangs allows you to comfortably move both on city streets and off-road.
The disappointment of people who found out that the Grant station wagon will not be published can be understood. After all, the modification in this body was the result of the painstaking work of designers and designers.

The designed but frozen model of the Grant Universal, the photo of which is presented above, would surely become popular. And for several reasons at once.
After all, it was expected that the new product will please with improved cross-country ability and high ground clearance. This modification in the sedan could not boast of. It was also planned to equip the model with an undercarriage optimized for cargo transportation, a roomy and spacious interior, an increased security system and auxiliary comfort options.
It was assumed that the characteristics and parameters of the “Lada Grant wagon”, the configuration of which remained unknown, would be similar to the “Vesta”. But not the luggage compartment volume. At Vesta, it holds 480 liters. The Grant station wagon was supposed to have a 650-liter boot.

It is interesting that many people who wish to acquire a roomy Russian-made car can hesitate for a long time in terms of their decision. Most of them are tormented by the same question. Which is better - Kalina Station Wagon or Granta liftback?
It’s difficult to decide. Both one and the other model have a striking design, and also has a number of technical advantages. They are similar, but there are differences. The fact is that Grant represents a new family of cars from AvtoVAZ. The traditions of the 90s, in turn, continues to "Kalina wagon." “Grant” is bought more often, but only because it looks more original and fresh. Today, budget cars are in high demand among young people, and for them design and modernity are of considerable importance when choosing a vehicle.
And from an object point of view, Kalina is inferior to the newer model. In her salon there are too many shortcomings and shortcomings from the past. And in "Grant" they are practically nonexistent. In terms of technical capabilities, the models are the same. Differences are noticeable only in rich trim levels. In which Granta stands out with a wider list of units and attractive speed indicators.
Options
Granta in existing versions is offered with a wide range of equipment. Most likely, the unreleased station wagon had the same equipment.
In the basic version, there is a driver airbag, rear door locks, child seat mounts, EBD, immobilizer, ABS + BAS, 12V power socket, adjustable steering column, factory tinting, audio system and stamped wheels.
In the maximum configuration, a dozen more options are added to all of the above. This is the front passenger airbag, burglar alarm, fog optics, active rear row head restraints, on-board computer, foldable back seat, gear change tip, electric power steering, cabin air filter, parking sensors, rain and light sensors, power accessories , heating function, and much more.
Cost
In the end, I would like to say a few words about the price. The unreleased station wagon would supposedly be offered to potential buyers for 600,000 rubles. It is comforting that currently implemented modifications are cheaper.
Luxury Granta sedan and with a 106-horsepower engine is offered at a price of 520-570 tons. And the basic version with an engine of 87 liters. from. costs only 340-390 tons
Liftback has higher prices. But still they remain acceptable. The most inexpensive model will cost 365-415 tons. A "charged", with the best engine and equipment will cost approximately 535-585 tons.
This is all useful information regarding the LADA Granta model . Of course, it is a pity that the station wagon did not see the light, but, as one could see, sedans and liftbacks are also good cars from a technical point of view.
