Pour a little salt to the eggs and beat with a mixer, first at low and then at high speeds. Gradually add 100 grams of sugar (4 tbsp. L.). Beat for at least 5 minutes. You should get a lush mass. Pour a teaspoon of baking powder here and add in small portions 100 grams of sifted flour. Once again, quickly beat everything. The dough is ready!

Now we take a round shape, line it with parchment or grease the bottom with vegetable oil and sprinkle with flour. We pour out the dough, level it with a spatula and bake in the oven preheated to 200 degrees for about half an hour. We also prepare chocolate cake, but we already take 80 grams of flour. Add two tablespoons of cocoa to the dough. Bake and let cool completely. If the Chess cake is being prepared for a large company, you can bake not one cake of each color, but two.

Now take a cooled biscuit, put a plate of a smaller diameter on it and cut it out along the contour. It turned out two layers. On the second circle of biscuit we put a plate even smaller and cut it out. From one cake as a result, three circles should turn out: two with a hole and one whole. We are doing this process with all the cakes. Then we stack them in a checkerboard pattern, alternating dark and light circles.

Impregnation and cream

Soaking cakes requires 50 milliliters of water and a spoonful of alcohol. It is better not to take any other liquids (tea, liquor) so that the color of the dough does not change. Prepare the cream. To do this, beat 450 grams of softened butter, add 720 milliliters of condensed milk to it. The resulting mass is thoroughly mixed.

Cake assembly

We apply impregnation on biscuit cakes and let it rest a little. Now you can start assembling. Each cake, consisting of white and dark circles, is well smeared with cream and covered with the next, alternating colors. Thus, we lay all the layers. Carefully coat the top and sides with cream. You can decorate the cake in the form of a chessboard with finished chocolate icing in drops, laying it out in a circle and in the center. Leave the dessert for several hours in the refrigerator so that it is well soaked in cream.

Chessboard Cake (without baking)

Those who are afraid of baking a biscuit can be advised to make a “Chessboard” cake from cookies. For the recipe you will need the following ingredients:

  • sweet cookies - 200 grams;
  • cottage cheese of any fat content - 450 grams;
  • butter - 100 grams;
  • fat cream - 450 grams;
  • powder - 100 grams;
  • gelatin - 20 grams;
  • milk - 50 grams;
  • a bar of milk chocolate;
  • a pinch of vanillin.

Finely chop the cookies first and mix with room temperature butter. Take the detachable form and distribute in it with an even layer the resulting base for the future culinary masterpiece. Vigorously whip the cream with a mixer. Pour gelatin with water. While it swells, get ready to cook the cream.

Pour the sifted icing sugar, cream and a pinch of vanillin into the cottage cheese, rubbed through a sieve. Shuffle. Dissolve the swollen gelatin on the stove, remove from heat, add milk and curd mixture. Mix everything thoroughly and divide the mass into two parts. Melt in a water bath ¾ parts of a bar of chocolate, cool and add to one of the deferred parts of the cream. Prepare two pastry bags and fill one of them with a dark mass, and the second with white.

At this stage, you can begin to assemble the dessert. On the base of the cookies, lay in a circle a little white cream, then circle it with a layer of dark curd and so on until the end. Make some of these layers like a checkerboard. Put the dessert in the refrigerator and leave until the cream hardens. Serve by sprinkling with the remaining grated chocolate.
