Almost two years have passed since the start of sales of the third generation Ford Focus (hatchback). Despite the fact that after the third reincarnation, the cost has also grown significantly, the “German” remains the bestseller of the domestic market.
To date, the Ford Focus hatchback is the best-selling golf car. In total, counting all three generations, more than 750 thousand Fords travel on Russian roads. In 2012, the hatchback experienced a slight facelift, as a result of which the Focus got just a stunning exterior. Excitement, sportiness and aggressiveness can be seen literally in every centimeter of the case. It seems that we will not sin too much against the truth if we call the “Ford Focus” a hatchback (photos will confirm these words) as the ideal embodiment of kinetic design.
Exterior - harmony of dynamics and style
The front of the hatchback clearly demonstrates what guided the designers when creating this car. Powerful, with a huge "mouth" of the air intake, the front bumper gives the hatchback a rather aggressive look. The air intake is divided into two parts by two inclined slats. Extreme compartments are, in essence, “tricks”. They carry only aesthetic burden. Next to them are stylish fog lights, framed in chrome wells. The headlights lengthened somewhat and acquired a sly squint, which makes the character of the car even more unpredictable. The developers have equipped the Ford Focus hatchback with xenon headlights of such power that they are able to turn impenetrable darkness into a white day.
The interior is comfort for pleasure
The internal “stuffing” of the model in question can be compared with a mobile phone: it can be simple, “monochrome”, or it can be stuffed with all kinds of electronic chips to failure. In any case, high quality materials and trim are inherent in all versions, regardless of technical equipment. Even in the basic configuration, the Ford Focus hatchback, the price of which starts at 536 thousand rubles, is a rather enviable “dowry”. The car is equipped with two frontal airbags, electric power steering, central locking, ABC, power mirrors, numerous adjustments to the driver's seat and even more options that can be listed for a long time.
Specifications
The basic version of the third generation hatchback is offered with a rather weak engine of 1.4 liters and a potential of 85 “horses”. This power unit is equipped with only a five-speed manual. This version is practically not in demand among our motorists, despite the fact that the price of the car is low. Russians prefer beautiful cars with rich interior equipment. And no matter how much they cost.
Therefore, the most popular among our compatriots is the Ford Focus hatchback in the Titanium version. This is the most “packaged” modification. And its cost is about a million rubles. But the owner of this version gets a car with a leather interior, automatic parking system, parking sensors, air conditioning, a three-liter 150-horsepower engine and a lot of different multimedia additions.
Those who consider the Ford Focus hatchback as a “people's car” are right in some ways. You can buy it - with the most modest equipment - a little more than four hundred thousand. But for such a cost, "domestic German" is sold only under the state recycling program. A fully equipped hatchback is unlikely to claim the title of “national”.
