Truck prototype and differences from it
Work on a new off-road truck began at the Kremenchug Automobile Plant in 1990. This car was a continuation of the development line of the serial KrAZ-260. First of all, the new KrAZ-6322 differs from its prototype in the more powerful YaMZ-238 D power plant and installed corrector, which allows the driver to manually adjust the amount of fuel in the intake manifold, thereby virtually eliminating failures in the engine at low speeds. In addition, the fuel supply in the car was increased, the payload was increased by a ton, and the speed characteristics improved. Appearance also did not go without innovations: changes were made to the plumage of the cab and bumper. Serial production of KrAZ trucks of this model was established by the plant in 1993.
