Sergey Minaev’s trilogy quickly divided reading people into two opposing camps, and the opinions in these camps are absolutely polar - someone fell in love with the heroes of books immediately and forever, while someone despises such literature. What to expect from the release of the movie "Duhless-2"? The plot was kept secret until the first show. And fans of Minaev’s books had to wait for the premiere, because this is not an adaptation, but a completely independent work.
Face of time
Each era has its own hero, its own face, embodying all vices and pleasures. But why should it be the face of a noble man ? Sometimes the era manifests itself precisely in vices, and the protagonist of the Duhless novel proves this assumption. His name is Max Andreev, he is a representative of the "golden youth". Max is a successful manager of an international bank. He does not deny himself anything, he loves life and enjoys all its charms. But suddenly a moment comes, after which the reappraisal of values and oneself begins. Max escapes from problems and the internal crisis in Bali, where the start of Duhless 2 catches him. What is the movie about? About a man, about his fate, about his choice and, of course, about love. Yes, yes, despite the presence of money and a spectacular appearance, the hero is unhappy. His beloved girl lives with another and is not at all happy about a new meeting. At least at first. So, Max lives in Bali in a luxurious house with a swimming pool, changes girls, organizes the best parties and rides on a cool motorcycle. Suddenly his world was shaken - the young man was charged with possession and distribution of drugs. The situation is hopeless, because under such an article the punishment is cruel. But then Max receives an offer that he cannot refuse. Have to help organs, risking themselves and their honor.

In the speech of the heroes a lot of symbolism. “I recognize Moscow!” - Andreev throws scornfully, choosing an expensive car, because the capital is unthinkable without a race for image and pathos. Danila Kozlovsky in the main role conveyed the image of a man, though young, but already tired of such a rhythm of life.
In numerous interviews before the shooting, the actor emphasized his desire to make the hero real. Max Andreev should not remain a “dummy”, an ordinary character of Duhless-2. Kozlovsky portrayed the image amazingly, which again confirmed the fact that it is not in vain that he is considered the new star of modern cinema.

Already in the spring of 2015, Duhless-2 was launched at the box office. The plot was discussed, saying that it was not like a superficial cinema, questions of philosophical being were raised in it. Director Roman Prygunov relied on little-known actors, although the budget allowed him to roam. The choice of a work for the second part was difficult, because it was impossible to dwell on one thing, since the theme resembled the first film, and development was necessary. Roman Prygunov suggested returning the hero Max Andreev, but placing him in completely different conditions.
There were many extreme shoots, for example, on a surfboard. Before the shooting of the final episode, a big wave arose, bustle began. They were afraid that he would cover Kozlovsky with a wave, but the young actor managed to get on his feet, although he almost immediately found himself in a whirlpool. And then Danila saw a drowning tourist and, as if repeating the plot of the film "Duhless-2", rushed to save him. They were waiting for the rescue boat together. The director saw a good sign in what happened and said that the picture promises to be dynamic, energetic and bright, without falsehood and fake emotions.

Already the first weeks of the rental showed that the plot of the movie "Duhless-2" appealed to the audience: the picture raised $ 3.7 million in a week, and this amount is a quarter higher than the results of the first film.

Its main advantage lies in the blurring of meaning, in the philosophy of modern life, in the fact that many people want to change their lives and cannot get out of the quagmire surrounding everything.
