It is believed that Macedonian shooting was first invented by Macedonian freedom fighters during the Balkan Wars of the beginning of the last century, and the term itself appeared around the mid-thirties. But in fact, no one can say exactly when this happened. It is only known that this method of shooting is used today by operatives of many countries and is considered quite effective. It is also believed that this term, like the names of pistols, is named "according to the author" and is associated with the methods of combat of Alexander the Great, whose troops did everything on the go: they drank, ate and even defecated. And again, it is impossible to confirm or refute this theory.
Shooting in Macedonian itself is shooting at once with two pistols. By the way, this technique is widely used in cinema and computer games. One need only recall Lara Croft, the famous tomb raider, or a typical cowboy showdown, and a dozen more examples come to mind. Such popularization, apparently, is associated with the effectiveness of this method. One way or another, this type of shooting is familiar to almost every person, if not by name, then by definition.
Arming with this technique of special forces and police departments is explained by the fact that Macedonian shooting is very effective when shooting at close range. Of course, it is hardly possible to achieve high accuracy of firing with this method, but large crowding has a high damaging ability, which can become a significant advantage during operations. But can it be assumed that this method of shooting will gradually replace standard ones, such as shooting from the hip or shooting from two
hands? Especially considering that more and more attention has been paid to this technique recently.
It is difficult to say something about the distant future, but this is not expected in the near future. Be that as it may, the police’s main task so far is to capture the criminal, and not to destroy him. So we can assume that Macedonian shooting will remain in service with the military, whose main task is to prevent the further development of the conflict by any means. Moreover, the preparation of this skill takes a long time and needs constant training. The police simply do not have enough money or time, despite the fact that the troops are constantly busy with it.
You can master this technique yourself. Of course, it is difficult to say why an ordinary citizen needs it, but if there is a desire and an opportunity arises, why should you refuse to enjoy it? To do this, you need to contact the shooting clubs with the corresponding request. Owners are unlikely to refuse a new client, but a suitable coach may not be found, and then you will have to do all the work yourself. Literature and the Internet can come to the rescue. The main thing is to remember that the shooting should be comfortable and “automatic.” Accuracy in this trick is in last place, and the main bias is on crowding and defeating more goals.
