Plot
10 years have passed since the terrible plague hit the entire planet. The medicine, which was supposed to cure all of humanity from Alzheimer's disease, became a real scourge and claimed the lives of almost the entire population in the world. Caesar and his detachment managed to hide in the forest and did not know anything about what was happening in human society. For the past two years, they have not met any of the representatives of the human race and decided that they were extinct. Former captives of nurseries and laboratories equipped their lives and learned to live in the wild. They hunted deer and did not know what they needed. Caesar became quite an adult and led the whole large community of monkeys. He already had an adult son named Blue Eyes, and Cornelia's wife had just given birth to his second heir.

But people again reminded of themselves. Not far from the monkey camp, they lived in a large community and were immune to infection, so they escaped death. People’s life was primitive: they didn’t have electricity, that’s why it was not too different from monkey. Upon learning that there was a station nearby, a small detachment advanced for reconnaissance and ran into a group of monkeys. With a fright, one of them shot and wounded Ash, the son of Rocket. Primates instantly gathered around people, but Caesar did not allow them to arrange reprisals. He understood that all this was an accident and people were not like thugs. Caesar let them go, but sent them to watch.

The next day, the monkeys came on horseback to the camp and demanded to keep their distance. Malcolm and his wife understood that without electricity they would not be able to survive in harsh conditions. The commander of the people, Dreyfus, did not want any negotiations with primates, but Malcolm, his wife and son set off to engage in dialogue with Caesar. The monkey leader received the guest and listened to his request. Despite the fact that almost the entire tribe was against helping people, he was able to insist on his own. Ellie played a significant role in this - she cured Cornelia, in whom infection began after childbirth. But Koba, a faithful assistant and friend of Caesar, believed that love for people overshadowed the mind of the leader. People are to blame for all the troubles of monkeys: they put experiments on them and tortured them in cages.

While all the monkeys helped people fix the station, Koba provoked and launched a war. He was able to convince some of the monkeys to go to his side and set a trap for Caesar. The seriously wounded leader was forced to challenge his former friend and defeat him in the fray. Dreyfus was able to contact another squad and call him for help. A short ceasefire ended in casualties on both sides. Malcolm and his family left these places, and the primates returned to their former lives. But Caesar knew that other people would come soon and the war would flare up with renewed vigor.
The creators, actors and roles of the film "Planet of the Apes: Revolution"
Matt Reeves, as a director, was not seen in high-profile projects. His most famous films are Monster and Let Me In. Two parts about intelligent monkeys and people who lost their last mind were his first significant steps in the film industry. The director plans to shoot a trilogy about the adventures of the superhero Batman.
Jason Clark - Malcolm
This actor in the film "Planet of the Apes: Revolution" in 2014 had the opportunity to play one of the most dramatic roles. His hero lost his wife during an epidemic, but found his love in the face of Ellie. Together with their son and lover, they sided with the monkeys and were able to understand their main principles - above all, the family.
Kerry Russell - Ellie
The girl, like no other, was able to feel the brunt of the life of monkeys in the dense forests. If not for her medical skills, then Caesar could have remained without a wife. Having been seriously wounded by Koba, he fell into her skillful hands and was able to gain strength in a short time.
Gary Oldman - Dreyfus
This celebrated actor in the film "Planet of the Apes: Revolution" in 2014 got the role of a fanatical leader of people. He believed that man is the most intelligent creature and should remain so. Yielding or sharing the planet with the monkeys was not part of his plans. His call served as a catalyst for future terrible events in the life of primates.
Andy Serkis - Caesar
The actor in "Planet of the Apes: Revolution", the film of 2014, had to reproduce the movements of the leader of the monkeys and voice it during installation. The audience remembers this artist well in the movie "Lord of the Rings", where he played the inimitable Gollum. Such an experience allowed him to once again take part in such an experiment. The hardest part in the film is voicing a sensible primate. The voice was supposed to be not quite clear and even, as befits a monkey. The actor coped with this task and in the original version of the film you can hear the whole emotional set in Caesar's speech.
Toby Kebbel - Koba
Many perceive Koba as a traitor and enemy of Caesar. But the leader himself until the last moment forgave his friend all the tricks. The primate did not know human kindness and from early childhood underwent various experiments on his body.
He was devoted to Caesar until the time when hatred of people did not prevail over his essence.
