Plot of the film
The action of the documentary series "Overseas Campaign 1812-1815" takes place during the campaign of the Russian army in France. At that time Moscow was already burned, this is described in the first part of the film "1812. Borodino". Napoleon escaped from Moscow, and the Russian army began its campaign from the capital of the Russian Empire to Paris. The film shows historical moments such as the battle in Dresden and the battle in Leipzig. Napoleon Bonaparte, realizing that he was in a losing position, tried to withdraw the Russian troops from the capital of France. He headed north-east, where his fortresses remained. There Bonaparte hoped to replenish his troops. However, this did not help - the Russian army, led by Alexander I, defeated the French and stormed the French capital.

Unlike Napoleon, Alexander I did not rob and destroy the city. Instead, he forces Napoleon Bonaparte to abdicate and refers him to the Elbe. However, after 9 months, Napoleon escapes from the island and, together with his army, restores rule again, but this does not last long. After 100 days, the Russian army again defeats the Bonaparte warriors. After this, the French emperor is again sent into exile, but now to the distant island of St. Helena.
Movie Reviews
The series "Overseas Campaign 1812-1815" was received very positively by the audience. Many talk about how realistic the images of people were recreated, their appearance, as well as the battles themselves. In addition, one can single out the fact that the second part of the film turned out to be more successful than the first, since in the film "1812. Borodino" more attention was paid to computer graphics than to the reconstruction of the images and costumes of participants in military events.
