We are surrounded by a mass of enterprises whose work is aimed at the production of large equipment: factories, factories, production, and so on. There are different situations when work is temporarily suspended due to valid and unforeseen circumstances. Not a single enterprise can do without operational and repair personnel. It is on these specialists that further work depends. But what kind of people are they, what are they doing, and who are the operative and repair personnel?
General concept
Operational and repair personnel are those people who service existing electrical installations, performing repairs, installation, commissioning, as well as performing operational switching if necessary. This position may include only persons with high profile qualifications.
Who are the repair and maintenance personnel?
Such a position may be occupied by specially trained, highly qualified and trained personnel, capable of carrying out operational work on the repair, commissioning and installation of electrical installations assigned to it.
Operational and repair personnel belong to the category of "electrical" employees. In this work, there are five access levels that are divided into groups. An employee of each group has its own powers and responsibilities.
Access groups
The group number depends on the length of service, qualifications, education, knowledge and practical skills, according to the job description of the operational and repair personnel.
Group I is assigned after orientation training, an oral test of knowledge, as well as a test of knowledge on first aid and the theory of safe work with certain electrical installations.
Group II can be assigned to an employee after completing a training course of seventy-two hours. After completing the course, the employee must pass a small exam, where in practice he must show the mentor the knowledge that he received. In addition, it is necessary to show all the necessary knowledge about the technical characteristics of electrical equipment and how to protect yourself from electric shock.
Group III can be obtained after gaining work experience (from one to three months) in the position of operational and repair personnel in the first or second group. To obtain the third admission group, the employee must know the maintenance procedure and the principle of electrical work. Know the safety regulations, a list of requirements and responsibilities for each series of work. Be able to properly monitor the operation of equipment and make safe operation of the device.
Group IV can be obtained after four to six months of work in the previous group. In addition, the exam needs to show knowledge of technology at the level of the technical school course, to know the rules of the provisions on labor protection, equipment operation, fire safety and the provision of first aid if necessary. To study the equipment plans of the area where the employee is working and be able to carry out safety measures, as well as be able to competently observe the work of other workers. In addition, master the skills of conducting briefings for staff.
Group V is assigned after working with the previous group from a year to two. The knowledge that an employee should possess: to know the technical characteristics, schemes and rules for operating equipment in the scope of his position, as well as technological and production processes. Improve the methods, clearly state the requirements and tasks for employees, be able to train personnel in the basic provisions on technology and fire safety.
Based on the results of each exam, a special certificate is issued to the employee, confirming the group and the degree of access to the equipment.
Responsibilities of maintenance personnel
The main responsibility is a quick response and the performance of repair and maintenance operations on fixed installations. An exception is on duty, which is not conducted on these installations.
Operational workers undertake:
- to carry out certain activities to prepare the workplace;
- switch operating modes of technical equipment;
- routine inspection of equipment;
- repair and install devices;
- clearance for colleagues (depending on the group).
Operational and repair personnel have a great responsibility for the work of employees that is safe for life and health, and their own in particular.
Duplication
Duplication of the maintenance personnel is work after an additional internship and the next examination of the employee’s knowledge. Such a procedure is appointed by the commission in the event of a break (more than six months) in work or in other cases if management requires it.
When duplicating, basic knowledge is checked regarding working with electrical installations and safety rules at the workplace. Such a procedure is carried out according to the program, taking into account the provision on operational and repair personnel approved by the authorities.
Admission to duplication is issued by the authorities with a preliminary notification of all necessary authorities, as well as third-party organizations with which negotiations are being conducted.
Duration and essence of duplication
Duration of duplication for operational and repair personnel with a management function (IV and V group) is at least twelve work shifts. For the first, second and third groups from two to twelve work shifts. A more accurate term for this procedure is determined by the authorities and the chairman of the examination committee.
During duplication, after an oral examination of knowledge, the employee must undergo fire and emergency training with a mark in the logbook. The topic of training is determined by the program. In case of unsatisfactory assessment, the duplication process is extended for a period of not more than twelve work shifts, and additional training activities are appointed.
Without a certificate of successful completion of this procedure, an employee is not allowed to work.
Internship
Before undergoing duplication, an employee must complete an internship.
The internship takes place under the supervision of the most experienced and qualified employee. This procedure is also carried out according to a specific program, which varies for each position. The internship lasts from two to fourteen work shifts. The number of shifts is assigned by the authorities. The team leader may exempt a subordinate from an internship if his work experience is more than three years.
The duration of this event is set individually, depending on the education, length of service and qualifications of the employee.
