Evgeni Makeev: breaking is not building

In the 2016/2017 championship, the once permanent champion of the Russian football championship had the most real chance in recent years to finish in first place. Spartak Moscow has long been bored with the championship, and now that the team is in the intermediate pole position, the club players and the entire coaching staff have only thoughts on how not to miss the desired result. One of those who writes the new history of the Moscow team is Yevgeny Makeev. The footballer has been in the structure of the club for ten years and rightfully can call himself a Spartak veteran. At the same time, he is only twenty-seven years old, and he is still hungry for new successes.

Eugene Makeev

First steps in football

Eugene was brought to the great sport by his father, once also a famous football player Vladimir Makeev. He started a young guy in the youth section of Severstal. Ironically, the club did not have a group in which Eugene Makeev could train with peers, so he attended classes with children who were two years older. Already at the age of 15, the football player received the first serious injury when his leg was broken in a regular two-sided game. However, it cost three months outside of football - the young body quickly recovered from damage.

National team

In 2007, Moscow Spartak was no longer the unconditional and permanent champion of Russia, however, the team remained the most popular in the country and in the capital. Naturally, having received an invitation to the "meat", Yevgeny Makeev did not hesitate for a second and put his signature on the first real professional contract.

At first, the young footballer had an extremely tight time, especially with an eye on those physical activities that were given at Spartak. He spent some time with the backup team and only later got into the main one. The team periodically fever, one coach was replaced by another. Not everything turned out smoothly for Makeev, however, hard work in training and a great desire to grow led to the fact that Yevgeny Makeev staked out a place in the defense of the “people's team”. The player felt equally comfortable on both the left and right flanks.

Heyday

For the first time in the starting lineup of Spartak, defender Makeev appeared in 2009, and after a few matches he fell into the arms of his teammates when he celebrated his first goal against Saturn from Ramensky. A year later, the football player held his first match in the framework of the most prestigious tournament of the Old World, the Champions League. The rival of the "meat" then became the French "Marseille". The defender’s career gradually went up, so after another year and a half he received a call to the Russian national football team, the colors of which he defends to this day. In total, over the years of his professional career, Eugene managed to score goals against opponents 6 times.

His mentors

It so happened that over the past ten years at the helm of the Moscow “Spartak” coaches were completely different in temperament and vision of football. It’s a paradox, but playing under the leadership of Valery Karpin, Murat Yakin, Dmitry Alenichev, who are so dissimilar, the flank defender Makeev was still the main backer. Today, the club is led by Italian Massimo Carrera, and it seems that the club is finally on the right track.

Evgeny Makeev: personal life

Eugene is twenty-seven years old, and so far he remains one of the most enviable suitors in the Russian Premier League. This is evidenced by the number of personal soccer player fans who do not miss a single game. Evgeni Makeev sometimes pleases his fans with new photos on social networks, but this happens infrequently - the football player is rather modest and is not used to swimming in the rays of his own glory. Even the interview gives reporters a little embarrassed. Eugene’s father still plays for one of Cherepovets’s veteran collectives, but he gives reluctance to his son. Say, striker and defender to each other are not advisers.
