Currently, there are several forms of interaction between the teacher and the parents of the student. Among them, individual conversation, joint cooperation, etc. are noted. However, parental meetings remain the most effective today.
The system of cooperation with the family should be thought out and organized, since this is an important part of the education of the student, especially in primary school. Spontaneous, not having a clear structure, parental meetings will cause fathers and mothers only anxiety and bewilderment. Such an event will not bring any results, since it is ineffective. Most often, meetings cover general issues regarding the organization of the educational process. At the same time, most teachers prefer to act as an active speaker, and parents can only perceive the information received. And not always the desired result is achieved.
Therefore, it is worthwhile to dwell in more detail on how to organize and conduct a parent meeting in elementary school, so that it really is a form of active interaction between a teacher and adults raising a child. This event is recommended at least once a quarter. However, it all depends on the features of the class, as well as the accumulation of current issues that need to be addressed collectively. It is perfectly acceptable to invite adults to school once a month.

Organizational parent meeting in the 1st grade is held in late August or early September. Here it is just appropriate to familiarize parents with the regime, to discuss issues of school uniforms, student supplies. At the end of May, the results are summed up. The rest of the time, adults are invited mainly to thematic parent-teacher meetings. Their goal is not only to discuss current problems, but also to talk about some of the subtleties in raising children. In this case, the topic of the meeting should be relevant enough to relate to most of those present.
Preparation and holding of the event are carried out in several stages. Firstly, this is an invitation from parents. You can limit yourself to verbal notification of the date and time, or you can show creativity and give students beautiful cards or invitation cards, in which it is necessary to mention the topics that will be discussed.
The next step is to develop a scenario with thought over all the details. The form of the meeting can be different: a conference, a debate, etc. Events are quite effective in which parents are not passive listeners, but active participants.
When discussing organizational issues, first of all, it is necessary to report on what has already been done, and only then plan something new. In the end, you should leave time for personal
discussions with parents of students who have problems. It is not worth delaying the event too much; its duration should not exceed 40-50 minutes.
Parent meetings should help educate parents, and not be a simple statement of children's poor performance or mistakes. Psychologists do not recommend the teacher to use instructive, edifying tone in communication. A smile and friendly speech will help you immediately set your parents up for positive, which will make the event much more effective.
