Recently, the topic "How long can you ride without inspection" has become very relevant. Car owners always care about this issue. Another topic is no less relevant: "The inspection of what to do and whether to do anything at all has ended." This is not surprising. The changes adopted in the law relating to the TRP sowed both joy among motorists and some confusion. It seems to be an annual moratorium in action, but this is not an exemption from a fine. What can I say, in a word - flaws.
And this is the first step to simplifying a procedure such as a technical inspection. Everyone knows that specialized service stations always collect long lines, but there is no particular choice, you have to stand. This problem was first brought up for discussion by Dmitry Medvedev. It was he who repeatedly insisted on the maximum simplification of this procedure. Amendments are made and an annual deferral from maintenance is announced. But you can’t absolutely free everyone from verification. And now it’s worth clarifying what to do if the checkup is over, how much you can ride on the “delay” without violating the law, and, in fact, how much you can ride without a checkup, that is, without a ticket at all.
Based on the rules of the road, the vehicle must undergo a technical inspection. The absence of an appropriate coupon is a gross violation. The new law changes the time between checking the technical condition of vehicles. A new vehicle is subject to control only after three years from the date of purchase. If the car is more than three, but less than seven years old, it passes the test every two years. And only vehicles that are older than 7 years are required to undergo maintenance annually. Exceptions to the list are passenger and freight transport. These vehicles are required to be inspected every six months.
Back to the amendment. If your car has a mass of up to 3.5 tons, is not connected with commercial transportation or is official, you get an annual delay for maintenance. If the validity of the coupon expired in August 2011, then you can pass the verification without any problems exactly after 12 months in August 2012. Everything seems to be good and pleasant, but the delay is only valid on the territory of the Russian Federation. Let's say you gathered Crimea. Here is an unpleasant surprise. You will be allowed to cross the border, but the traffic police officer will not provide such hospitality. Indeed, in fact, your inspection ticket has expired and you will have to answer as strictly Ukrainian legislation as possible.
Believe me, inspectors absolutely do not care how much you can go without inspection in the territory of the Russian Federation, “but I didn’t know”, “how can it be” and similar apologies, excuses will not lead to anything. Such cases of violations have become quite regular. And now, let's say you are already in Ukraine and recall that you, like most of the “guests” with Russian numbers, have finished the inspection. What to do? To begin with, it is worth remembering what such a violation threatens in general. In traffic rules to the question "how much can you ride without inspection", there is a fairly clear explanation. Simply put - not at all, except for a single case. Deferral is granted only to the new car that has just been purchased. In such cases, the passage of maintenance is given 30 days. In all other cases, driving with or without an expired coupon is generally prohibited. A DAI employee has the right, or rather, must impose a fine, you also have every chance to be left without a vehicle, since he can be taken to a fine site.
Everything is clear - your coupon “says” that the inspection has ended, how much you can drive, or rather, drive a vehicle is indicated in the TRP validity column. Deadline? Be kind, answer in all severity of Ukrainian legislation. Fortunately, the system of fines on the spot in Ukraine has been debugged and you will be given both a protocol and a receipt for payment, but, given the "severity" of the violation, many, of course, prefer to simply "negotiate". That's the price our car owners often find out how much you can ride without inspection in neighboring, "fraternal" states.
A vehicle with an expired coupon will not be allowed to cross the European border at all, which is basically correct. With such an “inhospitable” gesture, the car owner is saved from a number of troubles. If you leave the country, go through the TRP in advance, which will save you from problems in a foreign country in advance.
