Murdoch Investigators

The main characters

Yannick Bisson was born in Canada on May 16, 1969, and played detective Murdoch in the TV series Murdoch’s Investigations. It was his debut project, in which he performed in two guises: an actor and a director. The first film that Yannick starred in was Hockey Night. Yannick Bisson starred in many TV shows, such as Detective Dresden: The X-Files, Reading Thoughts. In “Murdoch's Investigations,” Bisson was able to remarkably integrate into his role as a patient, observant, and always logical-minded detective who was hampered by excessive skepticism in his relations with people around him. This, according to the creators' idea, should be the main character of the series “Murdoch’s Investigations”. Actors, colleagues in the workshop, noted its unique performance.

Thomas Craig was born on December 4, 1962 in England. He starred in the TV series “Doctors”, “Holby City”, “Pie in the Sky”, “Department of Wet Affairs”, as well as in the films “Navigators”, “Identity Card” and, of course, one of his best works was the image of the inspector-head-mate of the chief the hero, Thomas Breckenried, in the series Murdoch’s Investigations. The actors involved in the work on the project sympathized with Craig, who had to portray a hero suffering from alcohol addiction. Thomas Craig was able to very well reveal the image of a loving family man, but at the same time an honest and principled police inspector.

Acting Ensemble

The actors of the series “Murdoch’s Investigations” changed with the release of each new season, only the main roles remained unchanged.

Helen Joy was born on May 27, 1973 in Australia. She starred in the TV series Cops Rookies, Beyond the Limits of the Possible, Twilight Zone, The First Wave, and the films Death in the Lagoon and Feeding. In the TV series Murdoch’s Investigations, she played Dr. Julia Ogden, who was very similar in her character and views to investigating crimes with Detective William and who later became his wife. It is worth noting that the author of the books, Maureen Jennings, recommended the role of Dr. Ogden Joy after she saw her in the series "Before death, everyone is equal." And the author was not mistaken, the actress managed to achieve similarity with the main character of the series in emotional terms, Helen coped well with the role of Julia in the project "Murdoch's Investigation". The actors working with Helen instantly succumbed to her inimitable charm.

Minor role performers

Johnny Harris was born in 1975 in Canada. He starred in the TV series "Doyle's Case", "Reading Thoughts" and the film "Adult Movie Star". In the TV series Murdoch’s Investigations, he plays the role of George Crabtree, constable. Harris perfectly portrayed his hero, perhaps because he is not only an actor, but also a rather famous comedian. Crabtree appeared before the audience as a modest, honest, but very attractive to women police officer. Such a character was undoubtedly necessary; he graced the series Murdoch's Investigations. Actors, the biography of which is familiar to every fan of the project, for all 9 seasons have rallied so much that they are an exemplary acting ensemble.

Laclan Murdoch was born on September 8, 1971. Laclan starred in the films The Deceivers, The Tablet of Joy and the series Darling, I Reduced Children, Police Academy, The X-Files, Stargate: ZV-1, Beyond the Possible. In the TV series Murdoch’s Investigations, he appears as Henry Higgins, assistant to George Crabtree, one might say his friend. Despite the small role assigned to the series, he appears in almost all episodes and is revealed as a very positive and faithful assistant to the main characters.
