The device "Elfor-Prof" is a device that acts by continuous current on certain points and zones of the body, which affects the rate of recovery during inflammatory or other pathological processes. It can be used at home, in an outpatient setting and in a hospital. The device does not have large dimensions, it is safe, it is easy to transport.
The apparatus for galvanization and electrophoresis "Elfor-Prof" is used in the following cases:
- pathology of the joints of an infectious, metabolic nature;
- mechanical damage to the musculoskeletal system;
- CNS disease (encephalitis, cerebrovascular accident, brain trauma);
- gastrointestinal diseases (gastritis, enterocolitis, peptic ulcer, dyskinesia of the digestive tract);
- pathology of the respiratory system (bronchial asthma, bronchitis, pneumonia);
- heart and vascular diseases (hypertension, coronary heart disease, obliterating endarteritis) ;
- diseases of the skin;
- pathology of the visual apparatus;
- diseases of the teeth and oral cavity.
Contraindications
There are a number of cases in which electrophoresis is not performed. The device "Elfor", patient reviews about which confirm the effectiveness of its use, is not used in the following conditions:
- critical condition of the patient;
- infectious diseases in the acute stage;
- hyperthermia of an indefinite nature;
- hemorrhagic syndrome;
- diseases of the heart and blood vessels in the stage of decompensation;

- blood diseases;
- the presence of a pacemaker;
- individual hypersensitivity to direct current.
Device device
The apparatus for galvanization and electrophoresis "Elfor-Prof" has a rectangular plastic case (desktop version). The kit includes current leads for connecting various types of electrodes. During the procedure, the device supports digital indication and stabilization of the current strength, and upon termination of manipulation it smoothly reduces the current supply level to zero and emits a signal about the end of the program.

Ways to use
A physiotherapy room equipped with a similar apparatus allows for a series of procedures. Here are a few of them.
Galvanization. A continuous current acts on the patient's body. The places of such exposure can be a pathological focus, reflexogenic areas, and a special technique can also be used, characterized by the location of the electrodes on the human body according to a specific, specific pattern.
The galvanic current is able to improve blood microcirculation, change the excitability of nerve tissue or muscle fibers in one direction or another, improve the condition of the skin and mucous membranes, reduce swelling, relieve soreness, and accelerate cell regeneration.
Medicinal electrophoresis . Using galvanic current, drugs are introduced into the human body. In this case, a combined action occurs that enhances the effectiveness of the procedures. The apparatus for galvanization and electrophoresis "Elfor-Prof" sends drugs to the body tissue, bypassing the liver and gastrointestinal tract, without shells, and immediately in molecular form.
Galvanization
In order for direct current to enter the necessary area of the body, use electrodes and special pads 1.5-2 cm thick. The pads make the electrode larger than the size to prevent direct contact with the skin. Before applying pads, the specialist must make sure that the skin is free of damage, scratches, abrasions, rashes.
The pads are moistened with warm running water, squeezed well and applied in the required area. Then they are fixed with rubber bandages or other elastic cloth.
The required amperage is set and the "START" button is pressed. The regulator is placed in a position in which the patient feels a pleasant light burning sensation. The duration of the procedure is determined by the physiotherapist.
Electrophoresis
For the procedure, aqueous, rarely weak alcoholic solutions of drugs are used. The product is applied to a special gauze pad, which is placed under the hydrophilic. The procedure takes place in the same way as the galvanization process, but the duration of the manipulation can increase by a quarter.
The patient may also feel a slight pleasant tingling and burning sensation, which are absolutely normal for the effect of galvanic current.
Electrophoresis with Karipain
"Caripain" is a herbal enzyme preparation. Its active substances improve joint mobility, promote rapid regeneration of cells and tissues. Indications for use of the drug are osteochondrosis, the presence of intervertebral hernias, articular contractures, arthrosis, arthritis, keloid scars, tunnel syndrome.
Electrophoresis with Karipain allows the drug to penetrate more deeply, which contributes to the rapid relief of symptoms and recovery of the patient. Dry balm is used for the procedure. Physiotherapy room usually has not only nursing staff, but also a physiotherapist. It will be he who will prescribe the necessary number of procedures and the technique for performing with one or another disease of the musculoskeletal or nervous system.
Procedure:
- The contents of the vial are diluted with 10 ml of saline and 4-5 drops of dimexide are added.
- Apply to the electrode gasket, where the positively charged pole will be located.
- A solution of aminophylline is introduced from the negative pole.
- The medical equipment is turned on, the current strength is 10-15 mA, the duration is up to 20 minutes.
- If the patient has a tendency to allergic reactions, dimexide is not used, and time is halved. Usually, the course of treatment consists of 25-30 procedures.
Features of use
The rules are as follows:
- The apparatus for galvanization and electrophoresis "Elfor-Prof" should be located away from grounded objects and batteries for heating.
- The application and change of electrodes should occur exclusively between treatments.
- Prohibition of the use of leads with electrodes that differ in design from those that are attached to the device.
- Prohibition of manipulation by persons who do not have the appropriate education or training.
- If the device is brought into the room from frost, it can be turned on after 4 hours.
Instrument Care
Medical equipment (specifically this device) is not subject to verification. The data are specified in GOST 8.513-84. When caring for "Elfor-Prof" (manufacturer "Nevoton"), the plug of the device must be disconnected from the outlet.
Every six months, components are inspected to determine the presence of external damage. External devices are treated with a solution (3% hydrogen peroxide + 0.5% washing solution), disinfection is carried out with a soft cloth dipped in ethyl alcohol. Rubber electrodes are disinfected after each use.
