  • When the tea is infused and cools, filter it through cheesecloth to make it perfectly clean, even without small grains of tea leaves.
  • To make our mushroom grow faster, add sugar to tea. It needs so much to make a sweet tea, but, mind you, not very sweet.
  • Make sure the sugar is completely dissolved.

How to care for Kombucha

So far, a small mushroom lives in your bank, but this is temporary. Some time will pass, and it will begin to increase in size due to the formation of new plates. But so that your mushroom does not die, you need to constantly look after it. And, it should be noted that he is quite demanding about leaving. Pay attention to the following recommendations:

  • Tea solution should be periodically replaced with a new one. This is done about once every five days. Saturated with nutrients, you merge the solution from the can, and replace it with freshly prepared.
  • When changing the solution, arrange a โ€œbathโ€ for the mushroom. To do this, remove it from the can and wash in boiled water previously cooled to room temperature.
  • Change the solution in a timely manner so that your mushroom grows healthy.
  • Do not put a jar of mushroom on the window, but be sure to keep it in a warm place. Low temperatures negatively affect its growth.
  • Never pour sugar directly into a jar of mushroom. In this case, he may get a severe burn.
  • Do not fill the mushroom with a hot solution, as in the case of sugar, burns can not be avoided.

How to drink Kombucha

Kombucha, the preparation of which you are already familiar with, should be drunk after each meal, but only after three hours. In order to saturate your body with useful substances, as well as feel lightness throughout the body, you need to drink Kombucha at least three times a day.

And the last: if your mushroom grows very much, you can share part of it with your friends and relatives. If they donโ€™t want to have such an unusual friend at home, donโ€™t throw away the mushroom, but itโ€™s best to bury or burn it. At least that's what folk healers advise to do.
