The absurd version of the novel "Idiot" from the director Roman Kachanov caused a lot of speculation and controversy among moviegoers. Plot
Prince Myshkin gets on the bus, which is supposed to bring him to his historical homeland - to Russia. He spent several years in a psychiatric clinic where Dr. Schneider treated him for many diseases. His grandfather and grandmother moved to Switzerland at the beginning of the last century. Parents met in Paris under tragic circumstances, and seven months later they had a son.
On the bus, he enters into a dialogue with his neighbor, Parfen Rogozhin. An entrepreneurial businessman returns home in the hope of winning the heart of his long-awaited sweetheart - Nastasya Filippovna. He also had a tragic fate - for several years he had to hide from his father's anger in the Swiss mountains. The prince vividly became interested in the lady and asked to tell about a beautiful stranger. Parfen talks about how he met a beautiful vision at a crossroads. But another passenger intervenes in the conversation and says that he also knows this nymph. She is a girl of easy temper and lives with an official for a lot of money. It almost came to a fight.
Parfen told how he met his sweetheart for the second time in a shoe store, where he met with a broker. At the behest of his father, he was supposed to buy a ship, but could not resist and bought this shop and gave it to Nastasya. There was no point in returning home - dad and brother would have killed him for such a waste. Therefore, he hid in the mountains for several years. A week ago, his father died, and now Rogozhin has become a millionaire. He intends to spend his fortune on his sweetheart, and for this purpose he is going to Moscow. Myshkin was so impressed by the story of an unknown beauty that he fell in love with her in absentia. Although he informed Parfen that he did not feel craving for women after treatment, and there was no point in worrying.
In Moscow
The prince finds his only relative - General Yepanchin. He fears sheltering a young man for fear that he will seduce one of his three daughters. Not daring to offend a distant relative, he lodges him with his first assistant. Ganya has been his right hand for many years, and the general decided to arrange his personal life - to give him to marry Nastasya Filippovna. Myshkin falls in love with beauty even more. But they do not have a relationship. Then the prince decides to marry one of the daughters of Yepanchin - Aglaya. Nastasya Filippovna came to the ceremony. She managed to dissuade the prince from the wedding, but refused to marry him. She explained her decision by the fact that she was not worthy to become the wife of such a pure and open person. A person like Parfen is more suitable for her - they are made of the same crap. With these words, she got into the businessman’s car and they left for his house.
The difficult relationship between all three protagonists ends during a dinner party at the Parthen house. He had just returned from a wedding and wanted to have a coffee with Nastasya Filippovna. But the chill began to drill his brain so that he “plopped” it. As soon as they arrived with a failed ceremony, the beauty began to humiliate her roommate and order him to kneel before her. He was ready for anything for her, but her nerves still could not stand it, and he shot her directly in her open mouth. The prince learns that all this time he ate the beautiful legs of the beautifully cooked Parfen. Having said goodbye to Nastasya Filippovna’s body, Myshkin takes a piece of meat for Geni and leaves the house of a hospitable businessman.

Ivan Okhlobystin took an active part in writing the script. And the main role went to Fyodor Bondarchuk, who specially lost 5 kg for filming.
Nastasya Filippovna was played by Anna Buklovskaya. The fatal brunette was able to fall in love with the main characters, but did not decide on her feelings.
