Voronezh tire factory: Italian experience

According to the management of the international tire manufacturer Pirelli, the Voronezh tire factory is recognized as the best in the territory of the Russian Federation. Since 2012, the management of the Voronezh plant has been entrusted to M. Harputlu.

Today he leads the Italian brand tire production in Voronezh. Five years ago, Murat worked in the Turkish city of Izmit at a similar plant in the company, which specialized in the production of tires for racing cars participating in Formula 1 races.

The beginning of time

The Voronezh tire factory as a company of the Pirelli trademark also began its history in 2012. This year, in addition to signing the fundamental documents, the start was made to modernize the production facilities of the enterprise. Thus, the Voronezh tire factory in the shortest possible time acquired the most modern, efficient and safe equipment.

Currently, the Voronezh Tire Plant produces summer and winter automobile tires designed for passenger cars and SUVs. It is noteworthy that the full production cycle was located on a single area, which allowed the plant management to significantly reduce the costs of the enterprise. Such a visionary brand policy has reduced the cost and selling prices for Pirelli tires.

Frame rate

The plant staff is represented by a team of professionals, the lion's share of which speaks equally both Russian and English. The company regularly holds master classes and training courses aimed at improving the skills and qualifications of employees producing Pirelli tires.

The factory uses not only the innovative achievements of Italian engineers, but also the techniques tested on Formula 1 racing tracks. For example, when creating the next tire model, in-depth tread grooves were used, which are responsible for an unprecedented level of moisture removal from under the wheels of the car.

From time to time, open door days are held, within which everyone has a unique opportunity to visit the Voronezh tire factory. The company's products today include dozens of varieties of tires of the Pirelli brand. The plant itself is the twenty-second company that was opened by Pirelli managers in the world.

Business connections

The main partners of the plant are such eminent auto giants as Nissan, Ford, Daimler, Volkswagen. About one thousand specialists of various ranks are working on the conveyors of the plant in Voronezh. Every year, Voronezh Tire Plant produces more than two million automobile tires. All the necessary resources are available to increase the capacity of the enterprise.

Tire production takes place around the clock and does not stop for a minute. If you believe the company's technologists, then the creation of one tire for a passenger car company requires no more than thirty minutes. The production procedure is divided into five capacious stages. It all starts with the process of mixing rubber. Synthetic materials and natural rubber are used.

Tire Production Technology

If you do not go into technical details, then the tire Pirelli is eighty percent composed of artificial rubber. For the strength of the tire, its elasticity and long service life, special additives are added that are added to the rubber mixture. Carbon and sulfur are most commonly used. Since the car tire is reminiscent of a layer cake in its design, work on it begins with its inside.

The deep layer is an insulation in the form of an elastic tape, which guarantees the prevention of air and moisture from entering the tire. The following is a cord made from textiles. Behind him is a metal cord. A protective layer in the form of a screen covers textile and metal cords. The outer part of the tire is a tread, on which a special recognizable pattern is applied at the final stage of production.

After all the components are ready, it is the turn of the assembly. After assembly, vulcanization follows. Vulcanization is a procedure during which the molecules of the components are joined together to form a single monolithic surface. After vulcanization is completed, tires fall under the production press. There they are given the final form, and the protector is given a drawing. For each of the produced tire diameters a special press is used. The final stage is product quality control.
