Today, the safe and fast execution of so many construction, installation, dismantling and other similar works is simply unthinkable without the use of special machines that can significantly speed up the implementation of these operations and greatly simplify the life of a modern person.
One of such universal cranes is KS-35714, the technical characteristics of which will be considered in the article. Attention will also be paid to the features of the lifting machine, which has proven itself in practice in many regions and climatic zones of the former Soviet Union.
General information and purpose
The KS-35714 crane has been manufactured since the 1990s and is based on the Ural-5557 chassis. For some time, the technique was the most popular and widespread throughout the CIS. Young truck cranes passed their training on this machine all the time, mastering the subtleties of control.

Lifting equipment
KS-35714 is equipped with a three-section telescopic boom having a box section and a length of about 18 meters. Raising and lowering it occurs using a hydraulic cylinder. The extension of the boom sections is also carried out thanks to the hydraulic cylinder. A steel rope with a diameter of 15 millimeters and a length of 135 meters is used as a traction element.
The crane’s cargo winch does its job with a special hydraulic motor mounted on a swing frame and connected to the gearbox. The load is locked by activating the brake system.
Cab Features
The operator’s workplace is equipped with all the existing hygiene and safety standards. For this purpose, sensors are available that detect overload, limiters that are activated in operating conditions near power lines.
The driver's seat is regulated depending on the wishes of the person, and the optimal microclimate inside the workspace is provided by a special duct system.

Security
The modern KS-35714 is equipped with a microprocessor-based capacity limiter that allows tracking the degree of loading of the crane itself, the reach of the boom and its lifting height. Also, this device makes it possible to automatically limit the operation of the machine in cramped conditions according to the given coordinates. In addition, the limiter has a so-called “black box” that records all operating parameters, as well as the load on the crane during its entire operation.
With regard to the performance of lifting operations, when they are performed, the crane operator should carefully monitor the environment and, in case of unforeseen situations, stop the operations and wait until the work is done in safe mode.
