For the first time, the viewer meets a controversial hero in the action movie Black Hole, which was released in 2000. Chained in steel shackles, like a fierce predator, he appears in the image of a terrible and ruthless killer. He is being transported to jail in a spaceship guarded by the Ranger Jones. But as a result of the accident and, as a result, the crash, Riddick and the survivors find themselves on a strange planet. The main role in the film was brilliantly played by Vin Diesel.
Riddick in his performance received exactly that animal magnetism, which the audience loves so much in this hero. The events of the film are developing rapidly. Heroes need to fight for life and make difficult decisions in the aggressive environment of the planet. Their actions immediately make it clear who is who. The offender, one of whom was terrifying, turned out to be more human than the representative of the law, designed to defend justice. Therefore, when the film “Black Hole” comes to an end, the viewer no longer has a question about how to relate to the character. And in subsequent films, fans of the protagonist empathize with him already quite reasonably.

Little is known about his life, besides having repeatedly been in prison and breaking galactic laws. The baby Riddick was found barely alive in the trash can of a liquor store entwined with its own umbilical cord around the throat. An orphan who went through the hell of children's shelters was eventually brought up on the street. He is accustomed to survival according to the rules of the underworld. Guided by animal instincts, which repeatedly saved his life. He has a sharp mind and excellent physical data. His real name is presumably Richard B. Riddick, about 24 years old. A loner by nature, personal connections and affections is not burdened.

An excellent fighter with unique ability to see in the dark. Reaction, smell and fearlessness are worthy of the most dangerous predator. Rebel ranger
Upon reaching adulthood, Richard B. Riddick agrees to dangerous work in the corporate military ranger service. His tasks included the detection and disposal of huge poisonous lizards in the mines on the planet Sigma-3. Impressed by his abilities and successes, the guide directs Richard to the Strike Force Academy of Shock Forces. There he is trained in the skills of a professional killer. After graduating from the ranger academy, Richard went to the Sigma-3 moon to ensure the safety of the settlers. The living conditions there were horrific, the colonists were used as slaves, and the guards looked more like prison guards.
Outraged by this abuse of power, Riddick reports to the company. But instead of correcting the situation, the leadership destroys the evidence collected by him, declares him an offender and sends him to prison.
Fugitive and dangerous criminal
In prison, Riddick spent two years with a little. After examining the arrival schedule of the cargo ships, he devised an escape plan. Taking the opportunity, Richard knocked out a guard, changed into a uniform and slipped unnoticed from the prison building. Having climbed out, he took possession of a cargo spaceship and flew away, shooting at the same time the guards and the pilot. Hiding under a false name from bounty hunters, Richard B. During one of the seizures carried out by a contingent led by William Jones, the latter was seriously wounded and decided to take revenge. The consequence of this revenge was the capture of Riddick with the notorious thugs, who were promised a high reward.
Prediction and new features
At Butcher Bay Prison with a triple level of protection, Riddick seeks medical attention from one prisoner. For twenty menthol cigarettes, he agreed to do an operation on the cornea to Richard. During this medical procedure, Riddick receives a vision of a mysterious woman who prophesies a great fate for him. Waking up, Richard B. Riddick discovered that he can now see in the dark, and his eyes shine with silver, but there is a side effect - intolerance to bright light. And now, to protect himself from him, Richard would have to wear special very dark glasses, which, of course, did not please him. But with new opportunities, he could make an escape, in this, William Jones helps Richard, pursuing selfish goals.
The cunning bounty hunter decided once again to receive a reward for Riddick. Working together, they managed to riot in prison, steal the chief ship of Chief Hoxy and fly away from Butcher Bay. Taking advantage of the first opportunity presented, Riddick fled from Jones, who rushed in search of a fugitive, pursuing him in several worlds.
The film "black hole"
In the process of watching the film, the viewer witnesses that after several unsuccessful attempts, Jones managed to capture Riddick. Bound in iron, like a beast, the bounty hunter on a spaceship was to deliver Richard to another prison. The circumstances intervened: the ship crashed on one of the abandoned planets. Pilot Carolyn Fry wanted to prevent this by dropping the passenger compartment for evacuation, but the navigator prevented her from carrying out her plan. Survivors, including Riddick and Jones, are now forced to jointly seek a escape from a world inhabited by monsters.
While on a hostile planet, Richard is fond of the pilot of the ship Carolyn Fry. Having learned about her rational, but devoid of humanity decision to get rid of the passenger compartment in order to evacuate the ship, Richard B. Riddick sees in the girl the qualities inherent in him. He believes that everything around is subject to the instinct of self-preservation. Later, when Fry risks himself to save the survivors, Riddick reassesses his conviction and joins her. Despite all efforts, the damned planet destroyed almost everyone. Riddick managed to save only Imam Abu Al-Waleed and a teenage girl hiding under the male name Jack. Carolyn died at the entrance to the emergency shuttle, on which the survivors flew from the planet. Riddick later said that he died there with Fry.
"Chronicles of Riddick"
From the plot of the film, the viewer becomes aware that Riddick landed Imam Abu Al-Valid and a girl on the planet Helion Prime. He himself went to the icy desert of planet No. 6 of the UV system. In the hope that the bounty hunters will forget about him and stop the persecution, Richard spends five years there. But once the ship of hunters appears on the planet. Having overcome them, Riddick picks up the ship and finds out that the order came from Helion Prime. This means that the imam betrayed him, because only he and the girl knew about the whereabouts of Riddick.
Arriving at Helion Prime, Richard meets with Abu Al-Walid. He finds out that the imam hired the hunters because it was the only chance to find Richard and ask for help. After all, Helion Prime and all other planets are threatened with death from the race of necromongers, who all intend to turn into the Universe of Death. They have already destroyed an entire star system and are heading for Helion Prime. The Imam asks Riddick to listen to the representative of the race of the Four Elements. She tells him that, according to legend, only the Furian can defeat the Necromongers, and Richard is the only representative of this race of mighty warriors. So Riddick is drawn into universal warfare.
The leader of the Necromongers also knows about the prediction. Because of him, he destroyed the population of Fury, but did not know about the surviving boy. And now all the forces are cast in his search. The imam also said that the girl whom Richard knew by the name of Jack escaped. She admired Riddick and decided to take the criminal path as well. Now she is in prison on the red-hot planet of Crematorium.
By the will of fate, Riddick goes to this planet and frees Kira - that’s the name of the girl now. When trying to leave the Crematorium, she falls into the hands of the necromongers who are following the trail of Riddick. Further, the film "The Chronicles of Riddick" tells the viewer that the prediction is coming true, and Riddick, defeating the Lord Marshal in a duel, takes his place according to the law of the Necromongers.
Riddick
Richard got the throne, but he lost Cyrus. Before her death, she managed to admit that she was always with him. Riddick leads the armada of necromongers into deep space. So the time has come to find Furia. Only Sebery Vaako, one of the main commanders of the Necromongers, knows about her whereabouts. Riddick makes a deal with Vaako - the throne in exchange for Furia. Seberi agrees and delivers Richard to an abandoned planet. It turns out that this is a fraud and a trap.
Necromongers are trying to destroy Riddick, and in the hope that they succeeded, they leave the planet. Riddick again found himself in a monster-populated world. Of course, he managed to get out, and the necromongers are now undoing.
Interestingly, in an expanded version of the latest film, the screenwriters of the trilogy Jim Whit and Ken Whit offered the audience an additional episode. Riddick returns to the ship of the Necromongers and learns that Vaako has become the "Holy Half-Dead". In the observation window of the ship, Richard sees the gates to the Universe of Death. This is the sacred place of the Necromongers, where every Lord Marshal must enter. But, since this episode was not included in the main version, the viewer can hope that Riddick's further adventures await him.
