History reference
The activities of the Irkutsk Relay Plant began with the production of dry batteries for field telephones. In 1934, the production of anode batteries was organized at the site of the repair shop. During the war years, they were extremely necessary for the operation of communication systems and radio stations. A significant place in the volume of production was occupied by parts for mines.
In the 40-60s, production was located on a small territory in old 1-2-story buildings in the center of Irkutsk. Later the plant expanded, new spacious buildings were built. Actually, the release of relay technology was mastered in 1956, the profile of the enterprise has been preserved to this day. Today, the Irkutsk Relay Plant is included in the list of strategic facilities of the country. During the perestroika years, the incredible efforts of the administration managed to keep the plant afloat.
Production
In the mid-2000s, a large updating of the technological process took place, modern equipment appeared in the workshops. In 2006, a scientific center was created at the Irkutsk Relay Plant, whose tasks include the development of new types of products. The center’s specialists traveled half the country in search of new customers. If business relations were established long ago with military departments, civilian companies had to be convinced of the advantages of working with the Irkutsk plant.
Today, significant volumes of orders come from elevator companies, railway workers. Some products are imported to the CIS and Europe. Close attention is paid to issues of production culture. Products
The basis of the products are the switching elements traditional for the Irkutsk Relay Plant:
- Relays: sealed low-current, sheathed general industrial, multi-contact open, multi-contact in the casing.
- Sockets of the KS series.
- Connectors: combined, tape, radio-frequency, transitions.
- Switches low-frequency MPN series.
Recently, innovative miniature cut-in coaxial connectors with an operating frequency of 40 GHz with an SMP snap-in system have been mastered. On their basis, cable assemblies with various types of connectors are manufactured at the request of the customer. In the production of this critical element, each product is checked for electrical strength, insulation resistance, loss in the frequency range.
Also new products are waterproof low-frequency switches such as "MPN". They are necessary for switching alternating and direct current circuits.
Medical equipment
Since 1982, the IRZ, under the patronage of the Ministry of Health, has been developing and producing world-class training resuscitation-diagnostic complexes of the Vitim series, which have no analogues in the world. The company has developed unique technologies that allow it to develop skills in providing first aid to victims. Today, factory workers offer third-generation Vitim simulators. Products were repeatedly awarded and awarded diplomas of domestic and international forums, competitions, exhibitions. When creating it, invaluable help is provided by physicians from the Irkutsk Medical University.
At the moment, 12 modifications are made. The complexes are equipped with microprocessor sensors that increase the accuracy of evaluating the actions of rescuers, doctors and ordinary people who decide to learn how to provide first aid correctly. Depending on the model, Vitim has 3 to 22 resuscitation programs. A feature of the simulators is the visualization of injuries and pathological conditions, which allows you to more accurately evaluate your actions and understand where mistakes are made.

The enterprise at this stage accumulates technical and technological experience in the conditions of universal automation, robotization and computerization. The principle of work is changing from large-scale production, when the same products were replicated, to a research and production enterprise.
