Our Fatherland is very fond of retaking successful feature films and TV shows that are popular abroad. This fate also affected the Spanish series Physics or Chemistry. Russia, whose actors and directors are already accustomed to such events, slightly modified the series, adjusting it to fit the domestic audience. Every teenager who has spent ten years of his life at school is familiar with the dramas shown in this project. Of course, this does not add to the series of artistic value, but the actors of the film "Physics or Chemistry" really try to portray plausible emotions, and the scriptwriters just go out of their way to once again surprise the viewer with an "unexpected" plot twist. However, despite all efforts, the series did not take root, collecting a huge number of negative reviews and simply dismissive comments. Most moviegoers prefer the original, but they donât want to know about the Russian version. But is the Russian analogue of the Spanish series so bad?

Russian series as they are
The answer is yes, yes, the series is really bad, and its actors are especially bad. âPhysics or chemistryâ in the Russian version generally differs little than positive, and even acting there is completely at the lowest level. On the one hand, they try to play, worry and read dramatic monologues loudly on camera, but all their attempts to play well make Stanislavsky toss and turn in a coffin. The actors of the series "Physics or Chemistry" are not at all familiar with the ordinary audience, because for many this work was their debut. It is noteworthy that the series was broadcast on the STS channel, known for its gentle love for such "decisions" of impudent Russian cinema. However, nothing could raise the ratings of the project: neither the cute faces of the main characters, nor the original hairstyles of the secondary. It is also surprising how huge the headquarters these actors were able to âformâ. âPhysics or Chemistryâ includes about a hundred unknown persons on the wide screen in the casting, for whom this series was the first and last opportunity to light up.

A lot of work and little fame
Among moviegoers with a delicate taste, it is customary to joke about the low quality of Russian TV shows, but few take into account that it is the actors who are actually to blame for everything. "Physics or chemistry" disappoints with every facial expression wrinkle of the character, every fake note in the voice, every implausible turn of the head. One of the leading roles is played by Lyubov Germanova, in whose arsenal as many as 465 works. However, we all know that quality is more important than quantity, therefore the actressâs performance is more shocking here, and nothing will stop us from doubting the level of her acting. Quite the contrary: is it really possible to play professionally in 465 projects if no one has heard your name? This makes us think that all these projects are nothing more than someoneâs arthouse or amateur videos for underground festivals of local cinema from Vaska from the third entrance. Of course, most of the works of Lyubov Germanova is the voice acting of the characters, but there is still a difference between voice acting and playing on the big screen, and it is quite noticeable.
There is beauty - do not need a game?

Victoria Poltorak, who flashes the most in the official trailer, makes me think that the actors are not so bad there. âPhysics or Chemistryâ (Spain) did not rely on the appearance of the characters, and perhaps the Spaniards lost their luck here. The pretty Victoria Poltorak had every chance to pull out the project, but she still would not be able to do it alone. The Poltorak filmography includes 33 films, of which the series âLone Wolfâ, the film âWhite Canvasâ and the humorous franchise âHairpinsâ are more or less famous. Victoria Poltorakâs appearance and manner of playing is very serial, so Irinaâs role was not so bad for her. However, the series are precisely distinguished by the fact that playing there is not particularly necessary. Most of the works from the filmography of the actress are just TV shows, which, as it were, hints at her real place in life. It is noteworthy that the actress graduated from the acting department, therefore, has a posed voice and good diction. But the series with such a sagging plot and completely incomprehensible connections between the characters simply did not give her a proper opening. Perhaps it is worth looking at some of her other works.
Sergey Godin suitable for TV shows
As for the male half of the cast, their faces are not inferior in terms of cuteness to the most popular youth stars of American cinema. For example, Sergei Godin, who played a fashionable guy with the original Slavic name Rick, has worked in only 16 projects so far, but managed to gain a fan base precisely thanks to his radiant smile. Who needs acting when there are beautiful green eyes and a forelock? This is not to say that Godin does not try, just the opposite. He overdid it, and his main problem lies precisely in this. Critics still argue that itâs worse not to play or replay, and they have not reached consensus. Godin is exactly the same one hundred percent serial actor as Victoria Poltorak, so his person looks very appropriate in Physics or Chemistry. The only question is, can this actor really flaunt anything more than a pretty face?
The Way From The Series To The Feature Films
Gela Meskhi and Alexander Luchinin also appeared in the Russian analogue of the Spanish series Physics or Chemistry, and their work was slightly superior in quality to the efforts of their comrades on the set. Perhaps the matter is the specifics of the characters themselves, or just someone should be an actor, and someone - a process engineer. In any case, Alexander Luchinin "lit up" in the recent Russian film-apocalypse "Metro", and such a role is a real breakthrough for a permanent resident of the series.
Deplorable realities
Maybe some of the performers of the secondary roles of the series âPhysics or Chemistryâ will soon notice directors with big bellies and thick wallets, but today the trend is rather deplorable. It is still unknown whether itâs good or bad when untalented actors decorate the series, and talented ones sign contracts with Hollywood.
