David Hewlett is a Canadian screenwriter, director and, most importantly, an actor of Canadian origin. He gained fame thanks to such projects as “The Last Floor” (1989), “Cube” (1997), “Void” (2003), “Black Light” (2004), etc. In the article we will take a closer look at his works.
Brief Biographical Information
David was born in 1968 in the English city of Redhill (Surrey), and four years later his family moved to Canada. As a child, he showed interest in computer technology, not yet knowing that in the future it would help him earn money. Despite the fact that at that time he had already managed to star in several projects, his passion for computers did not quench. For example, for some time David was developing websites for a small company Darkyl Media, and also created the online community Fusefilm.com, intended for filmmakers.
In 2000, a marriage was made between David Hewlett and actress Su Garay, who broke up four years later. Then he decided to create another family - with the writer Jane Logman. And this time it’s successful, because the couple are still happy together.
Carier start
Even in high school in Toronto, David tried himself as an actor, starring in test student projects of his classmate Vincenzo Natalie. He even decided not to wait for the prom, but to immediately continue moving in this direction. Thus, at the age of sixteen, David Hewlett received his first role. The filmography of the actor began in 1984, when he played the criminal in one episode of the Canadian TV series The Edison Twins.
In 1987, the actor played a small role in the thriller Konstantino Magnata "Sasuke". A year later, received the main role in the Canadian horror film "Pin ...".
