The Far Eastern city of Birobidzhan, where the largest Jewish community in Russia is located, is located between the two left tributaries of the Amur - Bira and Bijan. The capital of the Jewish Autonomous Region, existing since 1934, is considered to be the center of the world for its residents, where the most intelligent and worthy citizens of the country live.
A bit of geography
It borders the "Jewess" (the so-called area of the neighboring territory) with the Khabarovsk Territory, the Amur Region and the People's Republic of China.
The area where Birobidzhan is located is located in a temperate, monsoon climate and is considered the most favorable corner in the Far East. The main characteristics of the Birika climate (local name) are: cold and light snowy winters, warm and humid summers. Monsoons influence the severity of the weather, but the area is protected from the strong winds and severe frosts by the slopes of Big Khingan.
The rainiest period is from May to September. In the cloudy season, only history fans, followers of Judaism and Jewish culture lovers come here.
