Low pressure and how to deal with it.

Low pressure is a vascular pathology, which in frequency of occurrence is on a par with arterial hypertension. Doctors around the world have noticed that if earlier the violation of pressure was mainly a disease of the elderly, today it affects almost all groups of the population. Low blood pressure is diagnosed even in adolescents and primary school children, as well as in young and able-bodied people.

Why is low pressure dangerous? This question is of interest to all people who have encountered this pathology. First of all, it should be noted that low pressure is a pathology of the organs of the cardiovascular system, which can occur suddenly in the form of crises. Accordingly, it is almost impossible to predict it. If the crisis is taken by surprise, then a person can suddenly lose consciousness while completely unsuccessful (often patients receive head and limb injuries ).

While there is insufficient oxygen to the brain, a person may feel dizzy, weak. Sometimes there may be hot flashes and sweating, or vice versa. The skin of patients becomes pale and cold. Instead of losing consciousness, patients may experience severe headache and dizziness, which are not controlled by conventional antispasmodics.

Low pressure is hypoxia of all organs and systems, which is manifested clinically by a violation of their work. With severe degrees of pressure decrease, severe renal failure, heart and brain formation is possible.

People who first encountered this pathology are often lost and do not know how to help themselves and what to do. But those who have been living with their illness for some time are able to recognize the attack by the first signs and stop it during it.

Low pressure requires emergency assistance, especially with critical numbers.

Low pressure: how to raise it at home?

  1. The main thing is not to make things worse, i.e. you need to know exactly the mechanism of action of drugs, so as not to lower the pressure even to lower numbers.
  2. First try using folk remedies, the best of them is sugar-free coffee. Make a cup of freshly brewed coffee, take a comfortable position, and relax.
  3. Some patients report a significant improvement in well-being after a short sleep (just do not try to fall asleep after coffee).
  4. Taking medications (they will be advised by the attending physician). Treatment with drugs is carried out in accordance with the cause of the disease, which is established in the hospital.
  5. If you cannot stop the attack of low blood pressure on your own at home, then you need to call an ambulance team and possibly be hospitalized in a hospital.

The most serious complication of low pressure is shock, which can be fatal. That is why all vascular pathology requires strict observation and control.

Normalizing low pressure, which is not caused by acute pathology (for example, as a result of vascular insufficiency), can be done at home, but you need to maintain it with adequate fluid intake and normalization of nutrition.

Also, lowering pressure is very dangerous for the development of cardiac pathology and strokes. However, remember that you should not take uncontrolled drugs that increase blood pressure, because too high a pressure is also dangerous.

Patients suffering from low blood pressure should slightly change their lifestyle. Walk more in the fresh air, eat a normal amount of fresh vegetables and fruits, meat and liver, as well as seafood.

Overfatigue and psycho-emotional overload should be avoided, because this affects the vascular tone and the rheological properties of the blood.
