Player career
Valery Petrakov - a pupil of the Bryansk football school. In the local Dynamo, he began his career at the age of 17. For two years, he spent 29 matches for his hometown team, in which he scored 1 goal.
In 1976 received an invitation from the metropolitan Locomotive. As part of this club, he made his first hat-trick in professional football. In 1981, a young football player made his debut in the team of the Higher League Championship of the USSR - Moscow “Torpedo”. As a result, she finished only in 5th place. It was possible to repeat this achievement only in 1985. This time, “car manufacturers" did not have enough 4 points to win medals. In 1986 he returned to the “Locomotive”, which still appears in the First League. With the restructuring begins his foreign career. First in the GDR in the GSVG team. Then also in the German Eintracht from Wernigerode and Nordhausen. He completes his career in 1992 in the Swedish “Lulea”.
In the USSR national team
In 1978, Valery Petrakov, then a player in the Moscow Lokomotiv, received a call to the national team of the Soviet Union. After that he changed many teams, working both in the Premier League and in the first division. Petrakov headed “Rostov”, Vladikavkaz “Alania”, Bryansk “Dynamo”, “Khimki”, Moscow “Torpedo”.
In April 2016, for the third time in his career, he returned to Tom as a mentor. The team took third place in the first division and in butt games against the Krasnodar “Kuban” achieved a place in the Premier League (0: 1, 2: 0).
