Minato is one of the most gifted shinobi for the entire existence of the world and the brightest representative of his clan. According to his teacher Jirai, such geniuses are born no less than once every 10 years.

For the sake of the salvation of all mankind, the fourth hokage had to make terrible sacrifices: through the seal of death, which entailed death, to close the newly born son of the frantically strong and ferocious nine-tailed beast.
This sacrifice entailed irreversible sad consequences, which Naruto eventually managed to cope with, and the world became poised with security.
According to Jirai, Minato was very perceptive and could compare the actions of a person with his real personality. Perhaps that’s why the fourth hokage made such sacrifices with his son, because he knew that only his young Naruto and future hero could carry this cross to the end and be able to knock it off their shoulders.

Many clan techniques were created by Minato himself. After himself, he left several unfinished jutsu. One of them is the Shinigami challenge (seal of death). However, in return, the user gives not only his soul, but also his body, which Minato was forced to do by sealing the jinchuuriki into his son.
