Lamination at home: use gelatin for hair

Luxurious, thick and shiny hair is feminine and beautiful. In search of a unique drug, women all over the world spend fabulous means, attracted by the desire to achieve the perfect result once and for all. Such searches are only in the hands of the beauty industry, which every year spoils us with a new "miracle cure." One of the relative novelties, which, however, has an extremely positive effect on the condition of the hair, is lamination. Hair treated with a special chemical composition will split less, gain incredible shine and smoothness. The fact is that the product “dresses” the hair in a capsule film, which protects it from traumatic effects, without disturbing the breathing process. The film eliminates the roughness of the hair and “seals” split ends. Significant disadvantages of this lamination: high cost (from 1600 rubles) and short duration of the effect (no more than a month).

However, not many people know that a salon procedure can be carried out at home, not only without loss of quality and with significant savings, but also with natural components available to every housewife. From improvised means you will need about 50 ml of hot water, a plastic film, a towel and ... food gelatin. For hair prone to dryness, we also stock up on a nourishing conditioner or mask.

Why gelatin?

Before proceeding with the manufacture of a miracle cure, it is necessary to understand why gelatin for hair is so good and why it has gained such wide popularity as an analogue of an expensive procedure?

Gelatin is a product of animal origin. At the heart of it (at least 80%) is the notorious protein - collagen, which is part of the hair, skin and nails, the loss of which threatens hair with brittleness, dull color and slow growth. In addition, the gelatin contains phosphorus, sulfur and calcium, which also positively affect the beauty and health of curls.

Gelatin mask making and application procedure

Lamination with gelatin at home, in addition to composition, has practically no differences from salon. To gelatin dissolved in water, add a mask (for dry hair) or balm (for normal hair) and mix thoroughly the resulting mass to the consistency of sour cream. When the gelatin mask is ready, the hair must be washed in the usual way, preferably using an air conditioner. Then apply pre-prepared gelatin for the hair, drying them a little with a towel. The maximum effect of the resulting mask is achieved when it is heated. You can achieve high temperature and the “pair effect” by creating a structure made of plastic film and a towel on your head. For lovers, it’s hotter - to heat the hair with a hairdryer over a towel for no more than 10-15 minutes. After 40-45 minutes, the mask needs to be washed off, for which it is enough to rinse the hair with cool water. We allow wet hair to dry naturally. The result will exceed all expectations: perfectly smooth and shiny, hair to hair, curls changed their appearance.

Why pay more?

So, judging by the procedure for applying the product and the effect obtained, we can safely say that home lamination of hair with gelatin is no different from an expensive salon analogue. Using gelatin for hair is not only cheap, affordable and effective, it is also incredibly environmentally friendly. The composition of salon means for laminating for the uninitiated is often a mystery, while gelatin is absolutely transparent in terms of ingredients. In addition, the monthly maintenance of the effect of lamination in the cabin will cost a pretty penny, while the use of gelatin for hair will not hit your pocket.

We rephrase the famous advertising slogan: "Why give more money for the same effect?"
