Films about snipers are usually action movies or thrillers. A classic is, for example, "Sniper", released on world screens in 1993, with Tom Berenger and Bill Zane.

Films about snipers
The main characters of the tape must fulfill a dangerous mission in the difficult conditions of the jungle. Events unfold in Central America. In the work of the Peruvian Luis Llosa it is interesting to follow not only the hunt for the chosen target (this is the boss of the drug mafia). The confrontation of two characters is also curious - Beckett (the Berenger) wise by experience and the capital's shooting champion, the ambitious Miller (Zane). After 10 years, the movie "Sniper 2" was released. And although the same Tom Beckett acted in the sequel (this time his task was to eliminate the dictator of one of the countries of Eastern Europe), the creators failed to repeat the success. The picture was released immediately for the video, and not for wide rental.

The thriller "Under the Sight" opened a new topic in the category "films about snipers." In it, the arrow became a hostage - right in the center of the city - the heroine of Linda Fiorentino Liberty. A dark-skinned man who lost his daughter took him on the fly (he was performed by Wesley Snipes). It turned out that the ill-fated pistol from which the girl was killed was sold to attackers by a certain corporation. The husband of Liberty Wallace works in this company. From now on, the lives of not only the spouse, but also many other innocent citizens depend on the actions of the target woman. The plot “Under the Sight” echoes the idea of another American thriller, also shot in 2002, “Telephone Box”. Stu Shepherd fell into an unexpected trap.

He merely answered the call in a street telephone booth - out of idle curiosity. But the interlocutor on the other end of the line set terrible conditions for him. And Shepherd (Colin Farrell) had to take part in this deadly game. The director of the unpretentious picture, which managed to cut off the budget three times with fees, was Joel Schumacher, who had not shot films about snipers before.

The regiment of snipers arrived

More modern films about snipers are Shooter with Mark Wahlberg and 2012 Jack Reacher. In the first, Walberg's hero Bobby finds himself in a whirlpool of conspiracy. At stake is the life of the President of the United States and Bobby himself - after all, someone clearly wants to make him a "scapegoat." Jack Reacher is the hero of a series of works by Lee Child. In the film, he was played by Tom Cruise, who is also one of the producers of the project. The image of Reacher could be embodied on the screen by such celebrities as Hugh Jackman, Will Smith, Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn. But the choice ultimately fell on Cruise, although textured, he does not really resemble Childe's character (he is powerful and tall, which is 195 cm in the book of Reacher). But all the tricks Tom (and the picture was shot on the eve of his 50th birthday) chose to perform himself.

One of them was just a sniper - a joker and a merry fellow Chvanov performed by St. Petersburg artist Dmitry Lysenkov. Another film, also dedicated to the Stalingrad events, was shot by American filmmakers. “Enemy at the Gates” is the story of a real war hero, sniper Vasily Zaitsev. He challenged one of the best Nazi shooters in Koenigu. Basil was played by Jude Law, his antagonist - Ed Harris. Rachel Weiss (the beloved of the protagonist Tanya), the younger brother of Ralph Fiennes Joseph (Commissioner Danilov) were very good. Surprised and Bob Hoskins, who played Nikita Khrushchev.
