Production
Back in 2004, Lionsgate acquired the Warriors of the Light script written by Michael and Peter Spearing. A few months later, the Spearing brothers received an offer to shoot a picture according to their own script.
In 2007, casting began. The candidate for the role of the scientist Edward Dalton, the protagonist of the film "Warriors of the Light", was selected the longest. Actors Christoph Waltz, Christopher Eccleton and several other celebrities claimed this role, but the choice of directors fell on Eaton Hawke. A fifth of the budget went to his fee.

Plot
2019 year. As a result of a large-scale epidemic, most of the inhabitants of the Earth turned into vampires. People who managed to escape the transformation are forced to hide from the persecution of hungry vampires. Aware of the global blood shortage, vampire scientists, led by Edward Dalton, are working on a substitute for it. But soon something much more important comes to the scientist, something that can stop the bloody epidemic and again make vampires living people.
