Since the launch of Guerlain's “Idylle” perfume line in 2009, reviews have not ceased to “sing odes” to these fragrances. And it all started with the fact that a young and ambitious perfumer Thierry Wasser came to the fashion house, joining the last offspring of the dynasty, Jean-Paul Guerlain. Wasser understood that a successful debut largely determines his future career, and therefore tried to make the first “Idyll” a masterpiece. The name is fully consistent with the contents of the bottle: from the first notes you feel peace, the joy of life, inner harmony.

Despite the fact that Guerlain Idylle was intended for the target audience of young and active modern women, draws inspiration from Wasser in ancient mythology. The smell was inspired by the legend of Zeus's love for the beautiful Danae. Turning into golden rain, the "father of the gods" sprinkled the bed of his beloved. Therefore, the fragrance is immediately characterized as luxurious, expensive. However, he is not artsy, not loud and not boastful. The story of fragile love was embodied in a composition in which a rose acts as the dominant note. Moreover, not one, but several of their varieties, which, combined with other floral scents and chypre chords, create this idyll.
Alchemist Thierry Wasser invented the true elixir of love. Experimenting with roses, he singled out varieties that, in addition to flower smells, would also be fragrant with fruits. So, the basis of Guerlain Idylle was the petals from Bulgaria's 2008 harvest, bearing shades of ripe raspberries and exotic lychee. Another rose was added to this flower - Plessis Robinson varieties, also with fruit chords. Jasmine, white lily, delicate spring lily of the valley, delicate freesia, spring lilac and strict peony are also interwoven into a floral bouquet. All this clear, fresh flowery rain spills onto a warm, languid bed of musk and patchouli.

The composition of Guerlain Idylle is luxurious, charming, memorable. It is impossible not to admire her. Spirits create their owner an aura of calm confidence in the power of their own charm and magical attraction. The train, slightly sweet, surrounds the surrounding patchouli with a touch of jasmine. The dominant rose echoes, gradually fading away. Lovers of floral arrangements note the persistence of the aroma (after all, ambergris is included), as well as a magnificent bottle created by the designer Ora Ito.
Guerlain Idylle was released in the form of eau de toilette and eau de parfum. This smell is optimal for women up to forty years old, and it is suitable for both daily exit and for special occasions. On evening dresses, the composition "sounds" luxuriously, like precious cashmere, and on city clothes - easily and romanticly, like a silk scarf fluttering in the spring wind.

Having advertised the new fragrance in two videos, in which the jazz guitarist Tom Dutronk and actress Nora Arnezeder starred as a mythical couple in love (Zeus and Danai) , the fashion house set to work on variations. In 2011, two compositions from Guerlain were presented at once: “Idylle Duet” and “Idylle Eau Sublime”. They retain the concept of the spray of divine rain, but in the Duet, which is also called Jasmin-Lilas, the spirit of the Thousand and One Nights is present. The sweet flavors of Indian jasmine sambac, which until then was used only in Hindu religious rituals, are truly revolutionary. Their provocative languor is mitigated by the chastity of the delicate white lilac.
