Many people habitually perceive the word as an independent unit, from the totality of which whole works can be composed. But in the Russian language there are exceptions, presented in the form of phraseological units (about friendship, hatred, love, etc.). Phraseologisms are stable phrases that are independent lexical units. That is, when ascertaining the meaning of an expression, not every single word is taken into account, but their combination.
As a rule, the role of phraseologisms is performed by winged expressions that do not have a specific author. They reinforce the meaning of the overall context, giving it an emotional touch. There are idioms about friendship, about work, home life, personal relationships, family hearth and more.
A single word that is part of a stable expression cannot be replaced. The reason is explained by the second name of phraseology. Therefore, such an action would be a mistake.
